Will not shop from this one again. I have been a best buy credit card holder for almost 10 years. Both of my daughters are authorized users and I recently added my son in law 3 years ago. NONE of them have had physicals cards. They show their ID and type in my social and purchase is good. 4 years ago my youngest daughter graduated with her first masters and I gifted her a Mac book pro over $1000, she went showed ID, used my social transaction complete. The very next month my now son in law purchased one as well his was $1600. Same way/ method of payment- no card in hand. Over the years and in different states Illinois, Texas, Georgia and even Hawaii purchases have been made the same way and at least always around $1000 or more. Fast forward to yesterday. My youngest daughter visiting her grandmother in North Dakota goes to best buy to purchase a $50 echo dot the same way she has ALWAYS have and was told she could not. She calls me confused and now I'm upset. Because my mother would never be able to set up the dot and register it herself. Had it not been for just 2 weeks ago not even when my youngest daughter sold her mac book air back to best buy and then purchased another one that was over $900 without having the card. Had it not been 1 week after that she went back to another buy best and purchased an apple watch that was over $200 without a problem. You would not be reading this post. $200 has been the least amount we have ever charged to my account and my children have NEVER been told that they needed to have a card in hand to use my/our account. Im sure they could see she's an authorized user, and for $50!!!! Really? Thats their policy!!?! I think it's more to due with her SKIN COLOR NOT MATCHING THE MAJORITY OF THOSE WHO SHOP AT THIS PARTICULAR BEST BUY. I can't think of any other reason. She has purchased 2 top of the line Iphones, last year a $700 iPhone watch( she didn't like it and returned) 2 mac book pros, without one single issue. But for a $50 dot.... She needs to have the card. No "YOU" need to treat everyone the same regardless of skin color. I am sure if she looked like the majority of the people who shop there...you would not be reading this post and my daughter would have not had to be reminded that the color of her skin was an issue in Best Buy in...
Read morePoor customer service. We got a TV (Christmas gift) and told them we could not pick it up until January 1st. We called Bismarck Best Buy December 30th and December 31st to tell them we would be there on the 1st. Both times we talked to some guy that can't speak English. January 1st came, we went to pick it up and they said they canceled the order on 12/31 because we didn't pick it up. The store guys said it was because we talked to the Customer Support Call Center. 701-250-0577 is the number called. They answered as Best Buy- Bismarck. There was zero note made on our order stating we'd pick it up on the 1st. Anytime you call this number you get a non-english speaking guy. (Pretty sure he's the guy I talked to both times originally.) He claims if you call this number it is the Bismarck store but if their lines are busy you get them. There is also no way of talking to a manager besides going into the store, which they've already told us we would have to call the number above to talk to a supervisor but they say we can't talk to one unless you go into the store. So frustrating, we will no longer be supporting Best Buy.
Long story short, they canceled our order and want $800 MORE to get the TV we already purchased and told them we would pick up on January 1st. They claim there is nothing they can do because we didn't talk to the actual store but there is no way to talk to the...
Read moreIf could give 0 stars I would. I have tried to have a radio installed on 2 occasions...take the time off from work for a 2 hour appointment. The first time I get a call a couple days before confirming my appointment. The day before another call to say the wiring harness isn't in and need to reschedule. So I did. The second time I show up only to find out the wiring harness still isn't there again after a confirmed appointment. The guy in the shop gives me the part number to order from Amazon and do. Only to have the system cancel my order completely stating that the time frame for installation was expired. The radio was paid in full as a Christmas gift...I tried to call the customer service line because you can't call the store directly and they wouldn't talk to me because I didn't place the order, even though I was the pickup person. So here I sit with a $50 wiring harness, half a day of wasted PTO and no resolution to getting a radio installed and a large corporation that really could careless. A little advice to the GM make it a practice to pull the parts ahead of time before confirming the appointment...that empty shop is doing nothing for you...and when I pointed that out to the installer his response was...I get paid the same. Terrible...
