Almost recommended this place to anyone...except for the employee that came outside from the kitchen area after we left taking photos/video of me and my children, thinking that she was being sneaky about it (see in photos below-standing in doorway of restaurant with the phone in a horizontally striped phone case, assuming they're still present and not removed when you read this review). A passerby even thought what she was doing was quite odd, so he stopped and asked her if she was taking selfies and she responded with a nervous laugh "ha ha, no". When we noticed the behavior and asked why she was taking photos/video of us, she quickly turned around and went back inside. That creepiness ruined the entire family dining experience. While taking unwelcomed photos of children in public places (without their parents' permission) may not be "illegal", I think any of us that are parents would agree that the behavior is not OK--and would raise serious concern as it violates somewhat of a 'social contract' we all generally follow, particularly when children are involved. While police say there's nothing they could do because the actions weren't "illegal," we feel that the public should know this took place during our experience here, otherwise it'll be one of those behaviors that's 'swept underneath the rug' because everyone is too afraid/embarrassed/feels out of place to note that it occurred, and will likely continue to be repeated.

Let's face it: none of us can go around taking photos of other people's children, even if it is in a public place (i.e. at a school, at a mall, even at a restaurant), under the protection of "it's not illegal". Public opinion and public scrutiny wouldn't allow it.

The most disgusting part of this whole experience was the fact that when it was brought up to the owner, he refused to take responsibility for it or the actions of his employee. In fact, he even denied it took place.

Patron this place with your family at your own risk, especially if you have young children. We, for sure, will never patron this...

I'm typically not one for writing reviews by my experience here was so disgusting that anything even thinking about bringing their families to this restaurant should know. And the biggest thing that really made things go awry is when the issue was brought up to the owner, he just started making excuses and saying nothing actually happened.

My husband and I visited this restaurant with our two children and the dining experience seemed to be going well until we got up to leave the restaurant. As we were loading the kids in the car one of the Asian women from the kitchen area came out with her smart phone snapping photos of our children. After about 15 seconds of this behavior from her we said "Hey, what're you doing?" and and turned around and hurriedly went back inside. For any of you who are parents, I think you'd agree that this type of behavior IS NOT ok, for anyone. They tried the argument of "well it's in a public space and there's no law preventing anyone from taking photos in a public space"--while that may be true, I think we'd all agree that no grown man (or woman) can go stand in front of a public elementary school and start snapping away at children getting onto of off buses. Although it may not be "illegal" it definitely violates the social code of conduct that the vast majority of us live by.

Maybe, just maybe, there's a "cultural difference" at play here and the act really was seen as harmless by the employee/owner, but it really doesn't sit well with me and I refuse to allow it to be something that's just swept underneath the table or passed off as nothing because it could very well be that everyone else that this has happened to felt that it either wasn't their place to say something or didn't know the proper channel to voice what they experienced.

So, visit this place with your young children at...

Sooo.... when I came in the server greeted us without looking up from what she was doing after I had stood there for about 2 mins. Then we had to wait 10 mins for a table because it was not bused(when there is only 3 tables). Then she yelled from the dining area that we could come sit at the table in the front, no even coming all the way to see us where we were waiting in the hall.

After sitting down, it took another 5-7mins until she took our drink and appetizer order. Then we got our drinks, and this point the chef finially had come out to help the 1 server on the floor with tables. He came and checked on all the tables which helped(since he was greeting and making sure customers knew where to wait for a table, which the server did not). But the decorum of the server was still unprofessional and louder than necessary while still not paying attention to her tables.

While waiting for our drinks and food, the music was all over the place, from harsh and heavy to smooth rnb. It was just silly. Then when I actually got food, I got my noodle bowls before my appetizer. The chef called for my pork potstickers 4 times and I still got it after my noodles.

When I started to eat my noodles, so they wouldn't get cold while waiting for my potstickers, the noodles where undercooked. But the shrimp wontons were delicate and delicious... also the broth was delightful and full of flavour, but it wasnt until half way until my meal until my noodles were the proper texture.

Over all the food was full of great flavors and delicate nuances but unfortunately the service left something to be desired to say the least. I will make sure that I give myself mediocre expectations on service but I still expect a lot from the food. I wish the chef would have bailed out his staff before she had fallen...

I’ve been wanting to try here for some time. Their hours are pretty limited so pay attention to that. Parking was not my favorite but what you’d normally expect in downtown area. Street parking but I opted for garage parking across the street and walked a block. Paid some change $1.50 an hour. The ambiance is when you walk in there’s a bar to sit on where they prepare the food. Maybe this was a sushi joint before and you hang a left and there is the main dining area which was spacious. I was concerned reading the reviews some mentioned there was no dining option? There are plenty of tables for 4+ people. They may have expanded maybe. Now for the food. They were really flavorful except for the beef pho. The meat was fair and all the fixings were in there that belonged but the broth was not the richest I’ve had. Pretty watered down actually. Other dishes were tasty and presented well. The Korean dishes were good and fairly authentic. The service was fantastic. The server came to check on the table and refilled drinks. I was in such in a dilemma about the price if I could justify it since being the only pho location I could find in all of Minot / Bismarck area. Even then, their price point is fairly high. Normal pho I’m used to is $10-12 at most and $17 at Noodlezip for perspective. I’ve had some fancy pho in Alabama which was around $16. But good Asian food is so rare to find in ND, I’m being forced to believe it’s worth it. Lol
