I really wanted to like this place. I came to Brick Oven because I saw a tiktok about it and love supporting small businesses. I am from out of town and always enjoy getting to see local spots when I get the chance.
The ordering experience and atmosphere was great, what really put a damper the experience was being made fun of for my order (I ordered a breakfast sandwich, easy egg) and the barista behind the counter felt the need to announce it to the shop âwhat the hell is easy egg?!?â and make fun of me for ordering that way, she also felt it necessary to announce that âitâs just a frozen egg pattyâ
I donât know, I feel like thatâs a fairly common way to order a breakfast sandwich? Especially if you have allergies or just donât love egg, but want the protein. I also feel like it could have been an easy clarification if she had just asked what I meant.
I did appreciate one barista who witnessed the exchange express frustration with the staff and their attitude as well. She did apologize and seemed genuine, but the damage was already done.
The coffee was just okay, overly sweet and the espresso tasted burnt, and the sandwich ended up being super greasy. Overall, nothing to write home about, it was a pretty average breakfast sandwich I feel I could have gotten better at any of the other shops in the area.
I would not revisit again purely because of the attitude of the staff⌠I am unsure if they just arenât used to tourists/business travelers, or maybe lack customer service training, but it truly did downgrade what I feel could have been a good experience. Next time Iâll take my $40 to DoorDash and order from any of the other options on there.
Edit to add: reading the reviews, this does not seem like a one off situation. So at this point the owner has to be aware of the general unfriendliness of some...

Read moreI love this place! We went on a Sunday around 1. It was decently busy but we still found a place to sit, and even with all the people enjoying their coffee & conversation, it wasnât too loud. Which is crazy cuz you would think it would be, with the high ceilings and whatnot, but no! I love the atmosphere there. SOOOOO cozy, the rattan chairs, the warm lighting, the JAZZ âĽď¸ it was the perfect cafe/bakery vibe. I had the French monkey latte, and it was SO GOOD!! I get nervous when there are two flavors in a coffee drink because I donât like my coffee too sweet, but it was perfect!!! We also had the almond croissant, flaky and with delectable cream inside, mmm, and the ham & cheese croissant, which I thought was the pinnacle of savory breakfast pastries, until I tried my fiancĂŠâs breakfast danish! WOW!! I wish I could have stolen more bites from him, that thing was sooo delicious!! And I didnât even get to the egg part of it, only the corner with bacon!! I will definitely be back for that. We didnât mean to come so late before close (about 40 mins) but even so, there was still a great selection of pastries and the employees were friendly and helpful. I will be back for sure! Brick Oven Bakery will be my new go-to spot!! Thank...
