First let me say that this was the second Denny's that I went to on this date. The experience between the two were day and night. We walked in and the hostess was busy. We waited just about 2 minutes and the waiter was asked to meet us. His actions were slow and revealed that he really did not care to help. Once seemed he brought a coffee and a water. He returned about 10 minutes to take our order. My wife ordered a 55 plus meal and I asked for a second glass of water as I had finished the first. 15 minutes later the waiter returned to the table and questioned what my wife had ordered, never bringing the water that I had requested. Just a few minutes later he shuffled his feet to the table with the wife's meal. While I was still staring at my empty water glass. Finally after my wife was finishing her meal our waiter returned with my long requested water. My wife, being a smoker excused herself to enjoy her addiction. The waiter returned several minutes later and asked if I would like my bill. Yes, thank you. Again after several minutes he finally returned with the bill. I immediately went to the register to pay. As I stood at the register my waiter came by twice to inform me that someone would be there shortly. I would guess my wait time at the register was over 5 minutes as I watched my wife enjoying her second. The help returned from the kitchen area to assist. Apparently, still confused with what was supposed to be done she was again told that a customer needed attention at the register. Once again, I witnessed the movement of a sloth to take care of the company's business. I asked if they were trying to close this location down and was responded with a yes. They were short handed. I responded with " It is not that there is no help... the help just should have a desire to do the job they were hired to do.
You should visit the Denny's a few miles west of your location, YOU MIGHT LEARN HOW TO...
Read moreWas very disappointed as we didn't even get to order. We brought my son for lunch and right away we were seated at a half cleaned table. No big deal, I carry baby wipes and wipe it down anyways because my son eats off the table. The we are handed a disgusting hight chair. And I'm not talking it needed wiped down. No this high chair needed to be completely taken apart and cleaned. All I did was take 4, yes 4 baby wipes to the straps and even on the 4th wipe was not coming clean, like I'm talking so gross it turned the wipes black with 1 stroke. As I'm cleaning it, the hostes sees me cleaning it and sees the 3 wipes I'd already used and says nothing other than our server would be with us soon. Didn't offer to clean it, didn't offer to get a new one just turned and walked away. So obviously we decided we weren't eating there, as my husband and I are washing our hands after cleaning THEIR high chair, the server we told we were leaving is mocking us behind the counter saying "they don't want to eat here because of the high chair" after this experience I accidentally left my phone at the table, so we go back to grab it and mind you the restaurant is dead and there's a full staff standing behind the counters, the table was still set with our drinks we didn't touch, and the nasty baby wipes we used to clean the Chair were STILL ON THE FREAKING TABLE! We had been gone for about 20 minutes at this point. Absolutely disgusted by this experience and will gladly say we will never step foot back into this establishment. Absolutely horrified thinking about peoples kids eating out of those chairs. If I could give negative stars I would. Also plan on calling the health department... worst experience I've ever had at...
Read moreI've been to Denny's many times over the years, and have always been satisfied with the service. Due to Covid, I hadn't been to a Denny's in well over 2 years, but just recently frequented one several times over a couple of months time, and I was reminded of how much I like Denny's! I prefer a Denny's, a Big Boy or a Bob Evans type restaurant over a more fancy, higher priced restaurant, and not entirely because of the lower cost, but more because the atmosphere fits my lifestyle. Denny's has a very good breakfast, which is what they are mainly known for, but they also have some very good other choices, such as some of their Burgers, and a few dinner meals, and my personal favorite is the Beef Pot Roast meal. One thing that is always equally as important to me as the taste/quality of the food at a restaurant, is definitely the Cleanliness, because a restaurant simply cannot be TOO CLEAN for me (after all, you're putting that food inside your body!). And, on one of my recent visits to the Denny's located in Jackson, Michigan, there was a young Lady cleaning off a couple of tables after the Guests had left, and shortly after she finished cleaning those tables, we instantly noticed the faint aroma of Rubbing Alcohol in the room, which, as long as that alcohol isn't near your food, that's a wonderful smell to detect in a restaurant. That lets you know that not only are they cleaning the tables, but they are disinfecting them as well, and as far as I'm concerned, especially in this day & time, the smell of alcohol in a restaurant, is a very welcomed smell. I was impressed by that alone, and if you haven't been to a Denny's in awhile, I would highly recommend...
