When I was told about this place I was really looking forward to an amazing seafood dinner. That probably enhanced my disappointment. The setting reminded me of a couple of places back home. The food did not. The hush puppies were good. I had a catfish and my wife had flounder. We tasted each other's food and couldn't tell the difference. Honestly they both reminded me of some farm raised tilapia I had at a place in Tampa. Both were soft and did not have much taste. There was really no flavor to the breading either. I had sweet tea with my food and it had that dirty taste to it like you get if you've ever been to a piece of moldy bread. I was going to change out my drink but once we got our food we didn't see our server again until it was time to go.

If you're into small town, hole in the wall dives, this is your spot! Open only during lunch and dinner hours, you definitely want to show up a little early as it's a local hit and will/does fill up quickly and does sell out! Wife and I split the seafood platter and still needed a box to go! The various seafood all had their own batter and seasoning so the flavor was always unique! The server and staff were super friendly and full of that southern charm! Stop on by and treat yourself to some great food and a great time!

5/13 dinner: we enjoyed our dinner here at Bailey’s. I had broiled flounder, cabbage and pinto beans; my spouse had clam strips, coleslaw and mac-n-cheese… all were delicious! We ordered the ā€˜large’ portions. Our server was very nice. She explained how the cabbage and pinto beans were prepared and told me which dishes could be broiled. We would definitely recommend this local restaurant if you are in the area. PS: the board displayed the sides that were available-several sides were already sold out when we arrived.

I was in the mood for fish. So my husband and I set out to find some. He googled fish places and there plenty, but only a few had "dine-in" availability. Our usual spot hasn't been good the last 2 times so that place was out of the equation! He found Bailey's Fish Camp and we headed to Blacksburg. It was well worth the 30 minute drive. We didn't know what to expect, but much to our delight this lil place was fantastic! They were out of baked potatoes and sweet potatoes, but let me tell you thier onion rings were to die for!! The fish was fresh and piping hot! You certainly get plenty of food. It's definitely worth the drive and we will be returning. Can't say enough good things about this place. Thanks again for an...

This is a small local fish camp in an already small town. We got there about 40 minutes before they were closing. They close at 2, not sure if that's for the rest of the day or if they open back up for dinner. I guess since they were getting close to closing, there weren't many people there when we got there. The service could have been better.....the waitress got my drink wrong, but since they were close to closing I decided to not say anything. We got our drinks, she took our order, brought our food out and the ticket, and never said another word to us. The food was decent, but when you get chicken at a fish camp, what's to expect. Fries had no salt, chicken didn't have seasoning but at least they got the...
