Went in this evening around 6:45 p.m. to get a chicken bowl and chicken burrito. Once I got home I realized there was no chicken in the bowl. No big deal, it happens. I called the store and the manager (I think he was the shift manager; young brown haired guy with glasses) was super nice. He told me to come back and I could get a replacement bowl and whatever else I needed. He was a class act. I’m a little concerned about one of his employees though. Once I got back to the restaurant I told the young man starting the food line that my bowl didn't have chicken and the manager told me via phone I could grab a replacement. I also brought the original bowl and the receipt. He looked a bit mad and said he could get me some chicken on the side and I calmly requested to get a fresh bowl instead. This poor guy bulged his eyes and got this look on his face like I had seriously insulted him and went to the back. It was very confusing. The woman waiting in front of me turned to me and said “Don’t worry. You didn’t do anything wrong.” I must have looked pretty shocked. I replied “I worked in food service for years. It’s no big deal. Things happen.” The manager came out about 30 seconds later and made up my bowl for me and again was super nice. “Oh yeah, no problem. You just called earlier 🙂.” Just a really professional guy. Not sure what was going on with that young employee though. I would understand his reaction if someone had yelled at him or something, but I definitely didn’t. It was kind of a disappointing experience (aside from the super...
Read moreI have been coming to this establishment for years. And I know it is a overly busy location. So I take advantage of the online ordering that they offer. I ordered my food two hours before I get off work and it says I won't be able to get my food until an hour after I get off, okay.... so half an hour after I get off I call and ask if it's possible to pick it up sooner. They say they are to busy to attend to online orders. I think okay I will go check in and wait because I'm not going o go home and then drive back when the location is on my way home. I walk in and the establishment is pretty empty. Five people already sitting to eat and two people in line. I go check in and I'm told that I m early and that they will get to it when they can... I called 28 min ago, arrived 5min ago and before I can finish this review I have my food. The service is wonderful and the food is good. But their urgency for online orders is lacking. I'm sorry but if you get an online order and you are standing around doing nothing. Why not make them ahead so when the person finally shows up they aren't waiting while you scramble to handle their order placed two hours ago while dealing with a line out the door. Which, yes, does happen. Prioritize orders by when they were placed not when they are projected to pick up. Because your online order system doesn't allow you to place an order within an hour of your wanting to eat it.
Good service. Good food. Bad online...
Read moreProbably one of the worst Chipotle's I've visited, and it seems they find a new way to let me down each time. Some days, it's a line literally out the door (worse when anything is going on across the street at the National Sports Center), other times it could be a missed item, something out of stock, or nowhere to sit.
The last straw occurred after I waited in the store for 30 minutes to pickup my online order. I approached the gal working the register to ask about it. She then told me that their online system was down, and I could get in line to order. I asked if she planned to tell any of the 15 or so other people waiting for their online order. She continued to make excuses as to why that wouldn't happen. I had to tell all of the people waiting that their orders weren't coming up and they had to get in line too, which backed up the unprepared staff. In one final redemption effort I ordered from the location again - exact same result. Thankfully I didn't wait 30 minutes before I wisened up, told everyone waiting that they wouldn't get their order, and moved on.
My wife and I now avoid this location like the plague. Go to any other location. It's not a 1 star because hey, it's Chipotle, and their staff can at least follow the recipe. But if you want your food in a timely manner with an appropriate portion size and at least a minimal effort by the staff - do yourself a favor and...
