The View Grill — Restaurant in Blairsville

I was visiting Blairsville with my wife and son, using a friends cabin to get out of the Florida heat for a few days. We very much enjoyed the dining experience at The View. The staff was great, we ate out on the balcony in what was an evening of perfect weather. This was a great end to the day as we had rented a boat in Young Harris and got rained out after only 30 minutes on the water. My son had the all you can eat pasta and meatballs, my wife had a wrap and I had an outstanding burger, we also shared the wings as an appetizer. Being originally from Western NY, we are kind of wing snobs and we thought that your wings were excellent.

Please know that everything about The View made for a great experience for me and my family. The food was great, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the view… well that speaks for itself! Combined, these things all make The View Grill worthy of coming back to. Please keep doing whatever it is that you do....

Starting off, $88 for 4 people with basic meals. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE. Ordered the "fried mozzarella" which are just cheese curds. The waitress took the basket with a quarter amount of the food left without asking if we were done. We were not indeed done. The BLT that my girlfriend ordered came out super dry. The bread would crumble apart. I had the chicken tender meal and it came with three large chicken tenders. They were very tough and hard to pull apart. I let my girlfriend try a bite and she had to pull very hard to pull the tender apart. The decor and environment seems very old and not at all what you expect to be in a golf course community area. The waitress was very slow and had to be reminded multiple times that it would be me, my girlfriend and two others on one check, and her parents on another. We arrived to a fairly empty restaurant, so not busy! Sat outside unfortunately the waitress had no idea of what types of beer they sold We ordered our drinks, onion rings as an appetizer and 2 burgers. Waited 45 mins for the onion rings and burgers to arrive together. The fires were COLD, the onion rings COLD and the egg on top of the burger cold. When we told the “manager” who was sitting at the bar with black latex gloves on, that the food was cold she stuck her finger into the burger and said “just the fries and the rings are cold, let me box up the burger for you cause it’s hot and it’ll be on the house” which we declined!
