As a local, I feel twisted has the best all around pizza. For the pizza lovers who are a bit more particular, I'd describe the crust on the breadier/doughier side. But it gets a nice shell around it that isn't hard to bite or chew, but gives it a nice hold. The pizza is never too greasy nor floppy. And the ingredients are always tasty and fresh. Their hoagies are always solid as well, so if you're more of a sandwich person, you'll have an equally as good time.
Over all, if you're visiting or passing through, I don't think you can go wrong grabbing a pie from Twisted. They don't have much room for inside dining, but their take out is usually fast and easy. Only thing that I could complain about is: a large pizza isn't particularly massive. But it isn't small either, so it's not underwhelming by any means. Two people can get a good meal out of it, and probably have one maybe two slices...
Read moreBeen to Twisted Pizza 3 times. The pizza is good and fresh and they load up the toppings, especially the veggie pizza. The salads are fresh and priced about right. Where they fell short is on the steak sub. Menu said steak, green peppers and onions. What I got was a sub with very little meat, a few onions and maybe some peppers (didn't see them or taste them). It had lettuce and tomato which was not expected and it was loaded with mayo which I don't usually eat. Definitely not worth the price. I expected something along the lines of a philly cheese steak sandwich.
Overall, the folks there are friendly and food is fresh. Restaurant is clean.
I was hoping to have a go-to place for a quick lunch to get a sandwich but I'll have to stick to salad or pizza...
Read moreFirst time there. Late lunch, early dinner. The server was great, very friendly. I was disappointed, my husband was not. For me the crust makes or breaks a pizza and this one failed, very soggy bottom. Only 3 or 4 tables, i guess its more of a take out place. It filled the void, but I have had better. Drinks were out of a coke machine, bottles, no glasses, no ice. My biggest complaint however was not the food but how it was served. Plastic utensils, have you ever tried cutting pizza with plastic utensils?? When it came time to box up the leftovers .... Styrofoam !! Who uses that anymore, NOT environmentally friendly. Sorry to say even if I could overlook the entire lack of concern for the environment (which I can't) the pizza was not good enough to make a...
