Update: Still no answer from Zaxbys corporate about whether they train their employees to properly wash their hands. Or supervisors on how to properly investigate customer complaints. This company clearly doesn't listen to customers how the website reads. This entire situation is disgusting and hopefully soon it will all be public.
Update: Contacted by a Cole Payne who claims to be Director of Operations for the Blairsville area. Who lied about reviewing the footage. Regurgitated what his lying employees claimed and did nothing to resolve the fact that his employees do not understand the importance of washing their hands before handling customers food.
Original review: On the night of August 15th 2024 I and another customer witnessed the girl working behind the counter bring two large garbage cans from the dining room behind the counter remove the bags tie them. Then begin to play on her phone and do other things until someone came up to the counter asking for something. She reached into a bag full of individual condiment cups retrieved one filled it with something out a lid on it then hand it to the customer. She then proceeded to play with the garbage bags and hand food to people from the pass through window to customers. Never going into the back out of view and never washing her hands at the sink right next to her. She was confronted by the other customer mentioned as he asked for a manager. She replied that she was the manager. He then calmly told her that he witnessed everything she just did without washing her hands. She looked like a deer caught in headlights. Said I'm sorry I got busy. Then went to wash her hands. This is where the entire incident should have ended. But instead the girl fixing the food in the back came to the front and ask her what happened. She told her they began to laugh and snicker and exclaim how they don't get paid enough and they are too busy to wash their hands. Upon seeing them not taking this seriously I and the other customer requested out money back. The girl from the back came to the front in defense and again ecclaimed that they don't get paid enough, they are too busy, and cannot stop to wahs their hands. The other customer explained to them that was not an excuse. They continued to escalate the situation until they were all raising their voices. Defending their actions and acting like we were wrong for pointing out their actions. At this point a man from the back came up telling us to leave. I told him I would leave when I got my money back for the food I had not received and did not want now. He called the cops on us. This event never should have reached this point. They should have just accepted the fact that they were wrong. And not argued about whether employees should wash their hands. The woman then lied to the police we assume by saying she went into the back and washed her hands. This is not true because we watched her the entire time. She never left the front counter area. This brings up major concerns about how often these people do wash their hands at all. How seriously they take food safety and concerns for the people they are serving. Including children, elderly, and the immune...

Fries - Starting off slightly inconsistent with seasoning, but where it lacks in consistency it makes up for pure flavor. The blend of spices makes for a pleasant taste with perfect temperatures all around. A slight crisp on the exterior with a fluffy interior. A select few fries seemed to be flaccid however they were still delectable. While enjoyable in several ways, I did notice varying lengths in size with a handful of fries being extremally small.
Chicken tenders - Starting off with a light and crispy exterior with a pleasing flavor around the board. Subtleties of pepper improve the the taste immensely, a thought I immediately conjured was ”this was much juicier than I expected” which boded well. I will add that consistencies with the tenders differs, and I found that the juice caused some tenders to become slightly soggy which is one thing I did not expect. One positive was the quantity of tenders, while you can simply order more or less, 6 tenders were surprising inexpensive.
Bread - I didn’t expect much from the bread, nor was I surprised. Temperature: cold, texture: soggy, flavor: ok, and because of a filling meal beforehand, simply attempting to eat it was a challenge, but a challenge I would make light work of, and becoming full before the meal is finished could be seen as a good thing.
Coleslaw - No
Drink - A large Dr. Pepper which shouldn't be a surprise. With 23 blended spices, Dr Pepper is a go to for soft drinks alike. Dr. Pepper...
Read moreI’ve been frequenting this Zaxby’s location since I moved here 20 years ago. It used to be good. Within the last year, it has gone totally down hill as far as service and food quality goes. I try it every couple months hoping it improves, but it does not. I think it only gets worse. The food is barely cooked. Chicken is so rubbery, it makes me question if I ever want to eat chicken again. Grease has been dripping from my food the last few times I ate there. I asked the guy at the window for ketchup for a Zax snack meal. He hands me one packet. I look at him and he’s just standing there looking confused. I’m like “can I have more ketchup? You only gave me one..” and he hands me one more so I’m looking at him again awkwardly and he’s looking confused again. I’m like “give me three more please..” like why do I have to keep asking? Three times ago, I had to take our huge order back into the store from the drive thru because it was so undercooked. They tried to say it just looked like that because they got new grease. That was not the case whatsoever. They were rude and didn’t want to refund us so we had to wait for them to cook everything again and it was STILL undercooked. I’ve heard several people saying they’ve gotten sick from eating there within the last few months or so. I won’t be going back to this location until they advertise that it’s under new management or something.
*Picture is after I had to add seasoning to fries because they barely...
