My family and I were in Columbus over last weekend and we found this spot near our rental. As a person who grew up eating great Mexican food in my hometown, and grew up with a lot of Mexican friends, as well as being married to a Mexican woman, this food was phenomenal. Get the chips and salsa! The table sauce is hot, but delicious. I had the Pollo tacos and were probably the best I’ve had. Big servings so you won’t go home hungry! Rice and beans were excellent as well and we use that as our baseline for Mexican meals!!!
Everyone enjoyed their meals! The staff speaks Spanish and English, so gringos, don’t be afraid! They do not have a kids menu (for us gringos with picky eaters that only like nuggets and mac and cheese) so be aware if you have kids that don’t have diverse palates.
Would highly recommend to anyone and if I’m ever back in the area I will 100% be going back. And…if anyone from the restaurant wants to send me the recipe for the table sauce…I...
Read moreTried this food truck and it was decent. We had a couple tacos, half-chicken meal, torta, and sopes. The good part was the half-chicken meal which was grilled / flattened type with just enough seasoning. For the most part the chicken meal was decent with a couple dry pieces which we just dipped in our beans/sauce. The tacos were average, the sopes were a little rough (should be softer edges), and the torta (sandwich) was small plus more bread than meat. Overall, average food truck with a good chicken meal option. The parking area in front of the truck is a free-for-all so be careful as some cars drive in-between the parked vehicles and the food truck. It'd be safer if they blocked the patron / ordering area. If you are in a rush and nearby, go for it. Otherwise I'd suggest try other various options available within manageable...
Read moreWow!.. My friend recommended this spot to me; it's definitely not easy to discover on your own. It's a no frills, authentic Mexican food truck, and by far the best street tacos I've ever had in the Midwest!. Pollo, pastor, and asada all had excellent and uniquely different flavors. Chicken tacos can easily be boring, but they make it exciting. That asada flavor was 10/10. The birria was super tender, and texture was the star over flavor. They're not stingy on meat portions either. The salsa verde meshed well with all of the tacos. The tortillas tasted super fresh. This honestly feels like a SoCal taco truck. Service is quick, and they have a couple of covered tables if you want to sit and dine. Do yourself a favor and check...
