My mother had kidney trouble at the time of my birth in 1962. My aunt Naomi Blackburn took me to care for while my mother was having a kidney removed after that surgery. My aunt Naomi took me as her own child while my mother was recovering. Naomi was the 1st person to touch / hold / bond with me. My aunt Naomi and I developed a special mother son relationship that was quite unique & special for us because she had not had a son and I have never had a mother like Naomi. Naomi was so well known by everyone that worked at the Golden Phoenix. They were always so excited every time they would see her coming in. This is the first place I was taken to teach me an incredible meal, a tiny bowl of Heaven droped down to earth steaming hot and called 'Wonton Soup'. And the wonton soup at the Golden Phoenix is absolutely the best wonton soup I have ever tasted all the way across this country in any restaurant I've ever been inside of. NONE HAVE EVER COMPARED TO THE WONTON SOUP AS THE GOLDEN PHOENIX. The times my family spent with me at the Golden Phoenix have always been those special times the one remembers for the rest of your life as those private special little meals that everyone in the restaurant was part of the family that you were with. That is what the Golden Phoenix offers to everyone the place for incredible food but more so place for your family to have a chance to build bonds that can't be built anywhere else and to build traditions that can last you all lifetime's. That was what my mother Aunt Naomi did to me, she gave me a precious place and some very precious moments that were all her and I can walk in there and sit down and I feel her and that table still. And it's still the same and it is the same beautiful restaurant that I hope so many of you will find and find someone to take their to make a memory...

I have had a hell of a time finding good Chinese and I drove my butt 35 mins to this place and as of right now, this is my go to place. We ordered 77$ in food, you can see the whole order in the photos. We had mongolian beef, sweet n sour pork, shrimp fried rice, crab rangoon, egg rolls, chicken mei fun, and honey chicken. Lets talk about the positives: the sweet n sour is the first place i have found around here that makes it with the pineapple and peppers to flavor it, it's not just red goo. The hot mustard(ask for the homemade!) was awesome! It dang near shot my sinuses to space. I've only found sauces like this in Chicago, so I'm super happy to find this. The mei fun had a ton of flavor and came in a huge portion. The mongolian beef was really tasty but they didn't even fill up the container, for the price and size of the container it should have been packed tight. The shrimp fried rice was packed in well and had tons of shrimp. The sweet and sour pork and honey chicken were both really good as well. My only complaint for the sweet n sour pork is the container was barely full. Most places i order this from fill it all the way up where the lid of the container is usually taped up to hold all the meat in.. The crab rangoon looked really good until i opened it, as you can see in the photo, it's kinda empty. The egg rolls were really good and had a nice flavor, and didn't...

Always an awesome taste experience! Salt and pepper chicken wings are tasty spicey and meaty! I love the appetizer cho cho beef (beef on a stick) .. My husband loves their egg drop soup. I had to tell you I've never had a bad meal here ever the food is always stellar. Tonight I had the triple crown which is a spicy beef chicken and shrimp and peanut and Asian vegetable dish over fried rice, my husband had the chicken with snow pea pods and water chestnuts and bamboo shoots over steamed rice. Thank you a wonderful helpings of rice either fried or steamed and their cocktails are never over $7, and hit the right way! Which means they're a darn good pour and tasty as heck. Though other times we just like to have hot tea with our meals too. Tonight my husband had a seabreeze and I had a screwdriver. One word of warning, if you ever get their long island iced teas, which can be regular or flavored, they'll knock you for a loop so only order one and have a driver if you're not used to a strong drink.
