Ordered a pick up so I could pick it up enroute to work. Called at 9:14pm. Spoke to a girl, placed the order, asked if she needed a name on the order, she said no. I headed to the restaurant arriving at 09:30pm. Asked at the counter about my carry out. No one seemed to have any idea what I was talking about. Then they debated if they were going to make it or not. I told them a girl took the order. She stood there and shrugged like she didn't take any order. They said it would take 5 mins to make it. I told them forget it, I'll be late for work waiting on something that should have been ready since 16 mins had passed already. This was the point of ordering in advance. This is at least the 3rd time this has happened with an order. They don't bother to make it until you are at the counter.so why take phone orders then??? I like the food here but if I have to go to work without lunch because they don't value their customers I'll start going elsewhere. It's not worth the aggravation to get there and still have to wait for them to make my order after I get there. Update, last trip there was in December, same as usual, food not ready till after I get there and had to wait, defeating purpose of phoning in an order. Only this time, after getting my food, a visitor crawled around the corner of the counter. I mashed it and showed it to the guy running the register, he didn't seem phased at all like he already knew. I told him you've got a problem here, you've got roaches. He showed the other guys then went back to what he was doing. This was the final straw. I haven't been back since, and should have called the health dept. When I alerted the staff, they simply took napkins and began smashing the roaches, then proceeded to prepare food without addressing the issue.
This experience was shocking and felt like something out of a movie. A fellow customer behind me chose to leave, and I subsequently canceled my order and requested a refund. What is most concerning is that I had previously dined at this establishment. Reviews indicate that the owner is aware of the ongoing roach and mice infestation yet continues to operate and serve food under these conditions.
I urge anyone reading this to avoid this restaurant, as the staff was not only unprofessional but also failed to use gloves while preparing food. The overall cleanliness of the environment was appalling, reminiscent of a neglected living space. This experience has left me traumatized, and I plan to dine at home for the foreseeable future.
