IHOP — Restaurant in Bloomfield

I've been eating here for 4 yrs now, there service is never 5 starts but is ok. Today I ordered for pick up and I called ahead to let them know which pick up parking spot I was in based on the pick up requirements. I called 10 minutes before the 11:20am time given and she immediately placed me on hold. I was on hold for 15mins and no they weren't that busy as I'm looking right into the restaurant at her and the dining. She was standing at the entry desk just talking and laughing so I decided to hang up and call back since she forgot about me. She picked up the phone, disconnected the call and walked off. I called back 6 times for the next 10 minutes no one answered the phone. Remember im looking into the restaurant. So my passenger decided to go in and ask for the food. She rudely noted its not ready. Yes my passenger is an elderly church brother and is a soft spoken kind sole. He came back saying she was rude, short in convo and acted like she didn't care that we've been waiting. I was required to call them to release the food to him over 20mins later than the expected time. I simply noted that she had me on hold for over 15mins prior and then no one answered the phone after that the worker said "ok then, when your food is ready I will give it to the man" I was so taken aback but didn't have the strength to ask for her manager or anything because I was just released from a procedure and us still basically under anesthesia. But never treat your customers as an option because the establishment to which is creating a service really is an option to customers and we can...

On Sunday, July 20th, I went to this IHOP with my family. The first thing I went with my family was because we were in the area and it was our first time at this IHOP in Bloomfield. We've been to other locations and everything was fine. But at this location in particular, we went and had to wait a long time for a table. After waiting, they assigned us a table. The waitress had a face as if something had happened to her; she was unfriendly. She was impatient with the orders and the children. There was no syrup for the pancakes on the table. How is that possible? At a pancake place... I asked her to put whipped cream and bananas on my pancakes and she said no! I said, "But I'm the one who's going to pay for them." She brought us our drinks first and left us waiting at the table for two hours. We didn't leave because we live far away and the kids were very hungry. Then she served the food to other people who arrived after us. I had to stand up and complain about it. The waitress brought the food with an inappropriate and serious attitude and asked us, "Is this yours?" Did you order this? She didn't even remember our order. The drinks were watered down from the wait, and the food was awful. They took too long. She didn't know whose food it was. They brought the appetizers last, and one of them never arrived. I won't return to this place. And to top it all off, while we were waiting, the kids asked to go to the bathroom, and the bathrooms were dirty and smelled strong. Very poorly organized and terrible service. There's a lot to improve...

I asked for a meal and a stack of flavored pancakes that are on sale. Kindly the waiter told me that the meal comes with a 3 stack of pancakes. So I decided to go for the meal only. I was happy with the waiter. Then I told the waiter to add the avocado and showed her the one that comes with meal (ad in) that is around $1.50. She saw it and took with her the menu. During the meal I asked to another waiter (too crowded and few employees) for another plate. The plate never came and I didn't bother to ask for it. Then waiter came with the check and didn't like what I saw. They charged me with the avocado as a side approx $4 and additional stack of pancakes. I called directly to the supervisor she kindly fixed the check.

Then I told her it was very uncomfortable, she explained me was a mistake I asked her how come... and the answer was the waiter didn't know if I wanted a side or an add in and the same with the extra stack charged. So she charged in the check like that. I was stunt with the answer. The waiter brought the food at the table and she saw clearly the avocado was add in not a side and remember... the waiter already explained me about the meal that came with the pancakes. Anyway, If the waiter had doubts about the order she shouldn't add to the check what she thinks.

But at least and give some credit they fixed the check but the answer of how it happened...
