If I could give zero stars, I would. We rented this banquet hall for my grandmother’s 80th birthday, a milestone celebration we had spent months planning. Sadly, what should have been a beautiful memory turned into a stressful, disappointing experience due to the completely unprofessional and borderline discriminatory treatment we received.
From the beginning, things felt off. The gentleman we dealt with insisted the deposit be paid in cash only, which already raised red flags. It wasn’t until we threatened to take our business elsewhere that they reluctantly allowed a card payment. That should’ve been the first warning.
They only gave us one hour to set up—which is absurd for an event of any size—but even that small window was ruined. When we arrived (after confirming with them that we could come early), the venue was filthy. Food was still on the floor, the tables were sticky, and the white linens were visibly stained from the night before. Their excuse? “The party went late, so we didn’t have time to clean.” So we ended up spending our own setup time cleaning, sweeping floors and wiping tables so our guests wouldn’t walk into a mess.
It didn’t stop there. Many of the items we were promised as part of the rental—chafers, utensils, chair covers, etc.—were either missing or disgusting. We had to remove the chair covers ourselves because they were that dirty. Every time we tried to speak to someone for help, they locked the side door entrance we had been using. When we asked to speak to the owner or manager, we were told he was “too busy.” I eventually walked into the main restaurant and found him relaxing in a booth with his feet up, only for him to call someone else over to “deal with me.”
His justification for the filth and disorganization? “Well, we gave you the space early.” As if doing the bare minimum of giving us access—after we paid—excused making us clean it ourselves.
It was clear we weren’t being taken seriously. Whether it was because we were all women, or because we’re people of color, or both—I can’t say for sure, but the disrespect was loud and clear. We were made to feel like an inconvenience instead of paying customers celebrating something important to our family.
And then, when 10 PM hit—the same 10 PM the owner had told us was our one hour of cleanup time—he came in demanding the music be shut off immediately, stating that if the music continued, we’d be charged for extra party time. Keep in mind: we weren’t blasting a DJ set or throwing a club event—this was an 80th birthday party playing old school soul music for a room full of elders. But that didn’t matter. The music had to go, or we’d be fined.
The entire experience was humiliating, disrespectful, and far from what any family should experience when trying to celebrate a loved one. This place does not deserve your money, your time, or your trust.
Do better. And treat people with the dignity they deserve—regardless of gender,...

Read moreAbsolutely amazing indian restaurant with class. My husband hasn't eaten animals his whole life so there's a lot of things he can't eat when he goes to restaurants. He never likes to eat fried things that could be vegan but fried in the same oil as animals cooked so he can't always eat vegan items due to this reason . So my husband asked if the item he wanted was cooked in the same oil or different and to our surprise the waiter said different. This made my husband happy because he could enjoy his fried indian item. He is also indian so he knows indian food well!! He loved the food there and we both loved tasting the authenticity of flavor and depth to the dishes brought out to us. Everyone there always is kind and humble and serve with much respect. They always check to see if your happy. I am so grateful we have this amazing Indian restaurant close to where we live. Also the food is not very oily. We are looking forward to trying the buffet and eatting all the vegan delights they have because it's always a mixture at buffets. I also like that they are able to make things vegan if needed. Thank you beautiful Indian Restaurant for great food and kindness and quality!! I also like hearing the Indian t.v. shows or movies playing on the big T.V. it makes me feel good...
