Paul & Vinnie’s — Restaurant in Bloomfield

I was recently put onto Paul & Vinnie's which is a Ghost Kitchen operated inside Carbone's Kitchen in the Wintonbury Mall by the same chefs that cook Carbone's food. It's a take-out only place that serves Grinders and Pizza. I've tried their grinders and they are expensive but also massive and taste pretty good. The pizza though, BEST pizza in Bloomfield hands down. I've had the Nicks Pepperoni and Vodka Sausage and WOW, it almost saves me a trip to New Haven when I'm craving the best pizza in the world. While the pizza from Paul & Vinnie's is phenomenal, your going to have to deal with the poor service and wait times to get it. I ordered my pizza online at 3:45PM with a pickup time of 4:25PM. 40 Min for a pizza isn't the best but hey if you've been to Sally's Apizza, 2 hour waits are common there. However, when I got to Carbone's at 4:25 the pizza wasn't ready yet. I waited until 4:50PM for my pizza to come out, over an hour after placing the order. The Carbone's Manager noticed me waiting over 30 min for my pizza and was nice enough to gift me a $25 gift card for the inconvenience which was very appreciative and led me to rate them as a 4 star overall since they are aware of the time issue, otherwise the review would have been less stars. Needless to say I will be going back because the pizza is just that much better than anywhere else in Bloomfield, but I will be prepared to wait extra...

Love the food but lately my orders have been cold, even when I show up early to pick them up. They seem to leave orders sitting on top of a counter instead of a lamp or warming appliance. Also they always tell me I'm too early before bringing my food out. I think their online ordering pickup time estimate needs adjusting. Hoping these issues can be solved because the food really is delicious...

Had a meatball grinder from here last night, and honestly it was pretty terrible. Clearly frozen meatballs that were too big for the bread they were on, covered in grease that made the bread deteriorate as I pulled it out of the foil. So much about this grinder was awful that I’m not convinced they know what a sandwich is in this shop. 0/10, save your money and...
