Mia’s ice cream — Restaurant in Bloomingdale

I just found this place recently and can't believe I've been missing out every time I stop in Bloomingdale! First off, I want to say the employees are wonderful. When I stopped in, the air conditioner wasn't working when it was 95f outside. The employees were still working in the heat, and maintained a positive and friendly demeanor. I felt so bad they had to work in the terrible heat wave, but that didn't stop them from providing exceptional service. I made sure to give them a tip for their hard work. A hard part about this experience is that they only take cash. After we walked to a nearby ATM, we each got an ice cream. The selection was decent but there was nothing very interesting. The woman said that they were not able to do a dip and sprinkles, but I get this at Dairy Queen all the time. There are laminated booths that you can sit in while you finish your ice cream. It's definitely not a fancy place. Prices are not bad, nor are they great. If you really need ice cream, it's not a bad place to go, but if you can wait a little while, I personally would go somewhere else and have a...

Nice and laid back shop. Staff is friendly and the prices are okay.

Ice cream is delicious. For you ice cream lovers it'll be nice to know that their ice cream is from Gelotti Ice Cream in Paterson.

My personal favorite is the Banana Oreo. Fun modification: ask for hot fudge at the bottom of the cup along with on top of your ice cream. You can thank me later.
