Great atmosphere with a great selection of beers. If there is a day where downtown butler becomes a place for people to go bar hopping, this place will be the center of it. My only concern is pricing. You CANNOT mark up Ramstein beers as much as you guys are. They're right down the street from you. What you should do is offer them at a better price to help Ramstein grow their brand and loyalty, as well as attract more patrons. Same thing goes for your run of the mill domestic drinks. I brought my girlfriend here and we tried a couple interesting-looking drinks that I had no problem paying for, but when I saw six dollar white claws on the bill I was kinda miffed. I can buy a six pack for ten bucks. You guys are making, at least when it comes to simple drinks like white claw, a 300% profit. Not cool. I understand the location is very convenient and nice, as well as the atmosphere, but there's no doubt you're taking advantage. There's a reason that a bar like Johnnie's in Boonton is coming up on their 100th anniversary. If you arent a bar of the people, your time is numbered. Especially considering your establishment is located in a largely working-class area, like Johnnie's. I would definitely come back, but the thing is that I will definitely pregame hard before I come knowing the prices I am about to face. While you may not see that directly, just keep in mind that because of your pricing, you just lost probably four or five extra drinks from me to the liquor store...
Read moreI haven't been here in years and was excited to bring friends to try this place. Located on the Main Street in what was an older house. Small but intimate space. Our server was slow with service and pretty sure he forgot my drink at one point. Took awhile for him to bring us our check and then we waited for him to come get it, but that took awhile that I finally brought it up to him as he was just standing at the bar.
The main dishes were underwhelming which was disappointing because in the past I remember being so good! I raved about the spaghetti squash to my husband on the way there and when I got it there was way too much feta on it and it just wasn't the same. My friend was disappointed with the bourbon street sandwich and said it lacked the Cajun seasoning as stated in the description. My other friend got the pulled pork and said it was just okay and didn't finish it. My husband was the only one to finish his meal and seemed satisfied. Fries don't come with any of the burgers or sandwiches and are an additional cost. Also, soda is $5 per soda. My friend had two sodas and paid $10 which we all agreed was wild.
If we were to return to this establishment it would be for appetizers as we all loved the gobblers, the wings could have used a little more sauce but were cooked well. Burgers also seem to be the better...
Read moreI’m not one compelled to write reviews ever, but I had to. My buddy, who recommended and came with, and I visited last night. As stated- no greeter and wandered around to figure out a table seat. Ended up at upstairs bar. Trivia was the best part of this evening.
Bartenders were real slow and attended to their drunk friend. How do I know she was drunk? She borderline fell off her stool and almost threw her foam container filled with food everywhere. My buddy made an excuse as “must be a rough night, as they’re usually better.”
Comes time to order. Starts “memorizing” our order then says “never mind, let me write this down.”
The food I ordered was horrible. I ordered the appetizer sampler platter. Besides missing one empanada- as supposedly came with 2- the wings were undercooked. No crunch or even skin/breading to them. Sauce was light, barely covering, didn’t taste like whiskey or maple , and just laying on the plastic tray liner.
The humus was good. Gobblers were ok. Nice idea, bad attempt. I will say that my buddy’s chicken sliders were great.
Parking’s slightly difficult. And that’s all I got.
Edited to Owner's Response:
Yes, definitely was there. I understand that "it happens," but it was overall a bad experience. It seems to be around the same time you were getting similar...
