Spoke with a rude male employee. Had a simple request pertaining to a DD order we'd placed online, that he chose to deny. Didn't seem to want to help in any way, shape or form. Then, when I offered another solution, he basically just said, "No, Sorry" Bad customer service. Also, they should allow customers to modify their orders via DD, rather than not accepting any special requests. All we wanted to do, was to add an extra slice of cheese to our breakfast sandwiches, since there was no way to do so online, as well as to add two OJ's to our order that we'd previously forgotten to do. I even offered to pay for it separately with my card over the phone, and he claimed that he could not do this, because there was no way for him to verify that the bank card belonged to me. Absolutely ridiculous, especially seeing as every place that takes food orders over the phone, or even in-person for that matter, takes card payments (without verifying identity.) The way this guy came off, was that he really just didn't feel like doing anything and was just doing the bare minimum until the store closed in less than an hour. There are lots of other Brueggers locations nearby this one, if you prefer better customer service. Read moreLouis, the gentleman who assisted me in my bagel acquisition this morning, was a pleasure to deal with. I came in with a relatively mundane order, and contrary to what appears to now be the "new normal," at least regarding abysmal customer service nowadays, Louis handled it expertly, so i wanted to recognize his efforts... Although i didn't take his recommendation this morning, it was at the very least refreshing to even receive one, honestly. Louis represented himself as well as Bruegger's Bagels impeccably, and the plain bagel sausage one egg, cheese sandwich he made me was on point in all respects. I actually drove well out of my way to avoid a few nearer to home Bruegger's which I've either had issues with in the past or read consistently awful and alarming reviews on, and I'm very glad that i did, because Louis didn't in any way disappoint! Read moreI just have to share a scene I witnessed today at this location. Some friends from out of town were meeting us here for breakfast with their two little boys. The manager (I didn't catch his name but he looked a little like Rick Bayless) went out of his way to make it a special day for the two boys. He gave them free cookies (with parental consent) and even made a special batch of bagels to show them the process -- explaining each step and making it entertaining. I didn't think things like this still happened -- especially at franchised establishments like this one. If you're reading this Mr. Manager, this display was the textbook definition of exemplary customer service...
