Wow to this one. We were seated immediately but had a very long wait time after that to take drink orders, then too long for drinks no water or silverware. It was the little things like no frosty mug w the IBC after my daughter had just gassed it up. The spinach artichoke dip was just okay and served with no plates or spoon, or 'freshly grated cheese'. It was hard to get the attention of our server the whole time. She was super overwhelmed. My elderly grandmother was so anxious about it a few times she had me go stand around up front to try and speed things up. (?) The food came after an eternity, other tables were riled a bit. My grandma's order was wrong, but it was close and she has Alzheimer's, so no harm no foul. My calzone with 5 toppings of my choice (ridiculous pricing. A topping was garlic.) was okay, not good, even. The tomatoes were in a lump and not fully heated, barely any toppings for a smallish calzone that was like 16$. My daughter got her favorite pizza (from Puccini's Smiling Teeth, which is the same exact business) ate one piece and said it was too oily and didn't finish her second! She's not even whiny, either, and she got a medium because she was so sure she would want her favorite pizza later, regretted it. Especially after trying to get her a to go box. The server was truly avoidant and since I had already decided to store my grandmother's walker in the hallway by the bathrooms, I saw some folded boxes, so I got a small for my grandma's calzone and accidentally got a large brought it out, she sent me back with it so we waited til I could make contact with a guy seating people, another 5 to 10. My grandmother paid the bill but I felt bad for her cause she had never been there before and the experience fully sucked, she's 92 & limited w cash. We drove down from Indianapolis, so it was her treat. She didn't leave a tip because she's old so I threw a 5 down - 10% the lowest I will go. I worked at Puccini's in Indianapolis and I can't imagine this flying with the management...
Read moreJust revisited for dinner. I asked the waitress not to bring spaghetti until I was finished with my salad. I reminded her, telling her that it would probably take a while before I finished the salad and not to bring the spaghitti. She brought it out when I was half finished with the zalad. She put ut under the warmer andbrought it out with the spaghetti on top dried out and stuck together. The sauce had a film over it. I just paid for the salad. The shift mgr(?) came out and argued with me. Grace did a great job handling the same situation in the account of my previous visit. This will be my last visit and I'll warn inquiries to travel at their own risk.
.....my previous visit... A great find! I'd just left Chipotle disappointed that they had no vegetables on line. Stopping at Starbucks, I noticed Bucceto's and decided to give it a try. The side salad that came with my spaghetti marinara was huge and was covered in vegetables. My waitress, Grace, was serving my spaghetti and she noticed I'd just gotten into the salad and volunteered putting dish under the heating lamp. I didn't have to complain about letting it sit while I finished the salad. Upon serving the dish after I finished salad, she said she had them make up a fresh dish since it took me so long to finish the big salad. Both for $12.50. The spaghetti was really good. Many tomatoes seasoned Italian style. I will be returning. Also excellent atmosphere. Very...
Read moreAs my family and I are visiting Bloomington, we are driving around looking for lunch. I ask my wife and daughter what they want to see if they're in agreement. My kiddo says PIZZA and my wife agrees. I stop in a parking lot to look for a pizza place, but my phone lost signal and I couldn't search. I continue to drive into the next parking lot and BAM! Bucceto's is right there. I say to myself, "it's gotta be fate", so we park and go in.
For 2:30 in the afternoon, there were only 1 other group there so we were seated quickly. Devin (I think that was his name) serves us. We order and he lets us know repeatedly when to expect our food. We didn't mind waiting whatsoever as this was an entirely new experience.
The food arrives and it smelled SO GOOD. I ordered a calzone with meatballs, sausage, and pepperoni. It was so crispy and cheesy, and the marinara that it came with tasted amazing as well. My daughter ordered her own little pizza that she devoured and I don't remember what my wife ordered, but it was a pizza with shrimp on it.
We all raved about the food after we ate and continued to talk about it in the car. The service was wonderful. The food was great. The art on the wall was kooky and fun. I would recommend this to anyone interested in...
