Needmore Coffee Roasters — Restaurant in Bloomington

Probably the WORST coffee shop I have been to in the world, and I have lived and traveled all over. $10 for a small iced coffee. I have never seen such robbery. I go out for coffee everyday and love to try new places but this place is quite simply a scam.

Starting when you walk in there is zero atmosphere, the furniture is cheap, dated, uncomfortable, and crammed into a tiny and dingy dated strip mall space. You feel like you are practically sitting at other people’s tables. The service is cold at best and the baristas lack the necessary finesse to achieve the beverage quality they aspire to have at the insane price point. The machinery they use is low quality which leaves a lot to be desired from their $10+ beverages.

Additionally they use generic grocery store brand syrups which leaves every drink tasting the same despite them advertising unique specialty flavors. I tried 2 different beverages and they tasted the exact same. This is unacceptable at this price point. Also it really bothered me that the serving was clearly less than the number of ounces specified on the menu. When I am paying over $10 for a coffee I would like it to be the size that is advertised.

Overall it is just not worth even trying this place. I hope that this place comes under investigation as their practices leave me speechless and with a bad taste from their generic overpriced coffee...

TL DR; Best coffee in town, warm cozy spot!

Atmosphere: Warm and inviting. large & small tables, along with comfy lounge chairs. Even when they are packed the noise level has not interfered with completing a quick work task on the laptop.

Service: Very attentive and prompt. On average i'm in there for less then 2 minutes and on my way to work with a warm cup of joe! On weekends if they are slammed and it will take a sec to get to the register, i'm still immedietly aknowledged and quickly serviced.

Food: I'm not proud of how much of a coffee snob i have become through travel and experience at almost 40, however the quality of Needmore Coffee 100% stacks up to the best coffee joints i've experienced. A great place to enjoy one of the best cups of coffee in town. They serve all the normal brew and espresso drinks one could expect, as well as some food items (scones, quiches, ect.) They have focused on the quality of the coffee so it is a tad more expensive than Starbucks, but for the higher quality and knowing that you are supporting a local woman and her business I would say it is worth every cent. NeedMore is cozy and is friendly to new and old faces alike. It is a new business that opened in 2017 and they have already drawn a crowd. They roast all of their own beans in house and source all of their beans from Organic, Single-Origins farmers from several different countries, such as Mexico and Nicaragua.
