I placed a mobile order for drive through pickup. When I arrived there were three cars waiting ahead of the window, one at the window, one behind, and one at the speaker. No one was moving. I made a lap hoping for the best since I had already paid for my order. I waited a couple minutes for my turn at the speaker. When I pulled up, it was an AI voice asking for my order. I stated that I had a mobile order. The AI asked for my name and I provided it. It told me I would be helped at the payment window. When I made it to the window after about 5-8 minutes, there were three people standing right inside the window with one wearing a headset. If AI is manning the speaker, what is that for? She opened the window and said “$3.23.” There was no greeting, no smile. I explained that I had a mobile order. She said “oh, what’s your name?” I told her (again, why AI AND an actual person?) She closed the window and walked back chatting with the other two people as she slowly retrieved my order. She handed me a bag and then realized that I had also ordered a drink and went back to get that. I thanked her and pulled forward. I ended up making another lap because the exit sign is hidden. During this lap, I noticed the trash can at the entrance door. It was overflowing with trash all over the ground. I finally found my way out of the lot and headed home.
When I got home 3 minutes later, I opened the bag. My order was correct and I appreciated the sturdy containers holding the pasta dishes. The breadsticks were in a foil bag. I ordered the lunch special and chose penne with Alfredo and spaghetti with spicy tomato and pepper. I also ordered two breadsticks because I didn’t realize the meal came with two. The serving size of the spaghetti was about double the serving size of the penne. The spaghetti was hot and steamy when I stirred the sauce into it. The sauce left much to be desired. It tasted like a creamy hot sauce. I did not taste tomato or peppers. It was more spicy than I was expecting. That would have been fine if there had been additional flavors to the sauce. The penne was not hot but the Alfredo was warm-ish. The sauce to pasta ratio was too low in my opinion. I was most excited for the breadsticks, but they left me very disappointed. They were room temperature at best so didn’t need the foil bag because they weren’t hot. They were squishy and my first bite presented that the oil had spoiled because it had a very off-putting taste. The price for the lunch special is great, but I think it is fair to expect fresh, hot food, regardless of price. Good customer service would be an...
Read moreIts rare I give out a 1 star review but this time... I had no choice. I ordered their penne and spicy sausage, and they got the order wrong and brought me chicken instead. However I'm not judging them on a mistake. The food. 😐 How do I say it? The pasta was way over cooked and just pasty. The sauce had no true flavor at all and was just bland. There was very little flavor to it, to cover it up, the cheese was a bit more than usual and the sausage itself was the only redeeming quality the meal had. The soda was good, so there's that. The bread sticks were very hard and not at all soft like other fazolis are. I could have complained but didn't feel comfortable doing so after having to have my meal sent back due to the mix up in the kitchen where they made it with chicken instead of sausage (which was on the receipt as sausage) I was worried it would create an issue and didn't want to be THAT customer. Especially when my most unfortunate haircut makes me look somewhat like one. 🙄 All that aside, the staff was not too bad, they seemed a bit overwhelmed and tired. They were also dealing with an irate customer. The store was clean and good lighting. Parking was good as well, it wasn't too difficult to find a spot. The prices aren't terrible but you will want to have around $30 to $40 for two people. Prices have increased since covid three years ago. There is no current mask requirements or social distancing so you don't need to worry about those being...
Read moreI've been to fazolis, and I love fazolis, but this one was just okay. It was 8 pm on a Wednesday when I went. There are kiosks to order instead of a person. Somebody did say, "Let me know if you have questions or need help." I wanted to try the new combo with fettuccine Alfredo and a stuffed cheese shell. I usually get the fettuccine Alfredo and know how it should taste. Both items were good, but I also put the red pepper flakes on it. I had to sub the meat sauce for marinara, and the kiosk wouldn't do it. So the employee told the other employee to me. I paid, got my table number, and sat down. They did let me get a water cup for free. There was trash on the floor, such as straw wrappers, and some tables weren't wiped down. I chose a booth. Food was out fast (there were only 2 other couples in there). As you know... the breaksticks are what you love there, and on that day, they were just okay. The bottoms were so crunchy, like they had been made for a while and sitting on the pan. And you know the normal amount of like oil/butter on them...well, these ones were loaded, and I couldn't really eat them. I asked for 2 more to hopefully get a different batch, and they were the same. They also have Christmas lights hung inside still...and it doesn't look attractive. Oh, might I add...they have PEPSI. What fazolis carries Pepsi...
