Lucky's 13 Pub — Restaurant in Bloomington

First time visitor. Friday night 6;30pm. We were seated and greated right away. Great tall peach 7 and Manhattan from the bar. Informative waitress. Quick and frequent. Well deserving of the 20% tip. We ordered the brisket sandwich and L13 Tots. The sandwich was served with 2 layers of brisket, a thin layer of what seemed to be home made slaw (tasty) with bbq sauce on a grilled pumpernickel. Not a large sandwich, but properly portioned. Personally I would like a folded meat to give the sandwich a fuller effect with a equal amount of slaw, drizzled completely with bbq. This was sided with the L13 tots, (highly recommended). A type I have never had. Large, stuffed and loaded, with a side of sour cream dipping sauce. These were very flavorful and a huge treat over the a typical french fry or onion ring. The waitress was very willing to serve our meal as a split plate (we were traveling and not wanting a bloated stomach). Split plate was no extra charge so I complemented the gesture with a good tip. This split portion size is what I wish the industry would change to. The restaurant atmosphere was very appealing. The oil lamps on the exterior were quite nostalgic. The interior brick wall large center bar area and spacious high top seating was inviting and warm. Prices were in line for this trendy pub. I would have liked to see a larger sandwich, but overall this was a great meal and experience. I would recomend Lucky's 13 Pub for a great dining experience. (I'll be back to try the blue cheese...

I was excited to go with my husband and daughter for Valentine's day. ... I have been here many times and had great service and awesome food. Today was the worst I have ever experienced. Our waitress Alyssa, was unfortunately, unable to keep up with the amount of guests and seemed to have "checked out". She took our drink order and was gone for sometime only returning with missing items. I had requested to place my order upon first giving my drink order but was asked to wait. I waited and waited. We were never offered popcorn which was being brought out by other wait staff to near by tables. My husband went and brought some for our daughter. We were not offered sufficient silverwear for our table, two place settings for three people... When or appetizer arived we were not checked on so my request for catchup went unheaded and our drinks which were empty were left as such. Our food came and again our drinks were left empty yet again. Another waitress brought me catchup and drink refills. My daughter's food order was incorrect. The food was good, however the experience really put a damper on the over all night. I am assuming the understaffing on a major holiday night, is mostly to blame as I saw 3 waitresses for a very busy resteraunt. I am disappointed that the resteraunt, was not ready for Valentine's day. Unfortunately I am sad to say my Valentine's night was not the experience I had hoped and...

Stopped before heading to the airport. I loved the Monte Cristo! Fries were a bit lack luster and unseasoned, but they forgot my ranch so the time I got that they'd been sitting a bit. But the sandwich was fantastic! Batter fried vs French toast type bread. Good flavor with more meat than I was expecting (and good quality). Lots of powdered sugar. French toast Benedict was good (maple hollandaise on the side) yet if that was a poached egg I learned something new today. Ha But the sunny side up medium hard egg sure made the dish look visually appealing! (Ate all of it!) Cheesy hashbrowns needed salt, but they were flavorful outside of that. Little cold. Bloody Mary was solid, and I saw they offered a bloody flight on the menu. I hope to try that next time. We had to get up and steal silverware and utensils from another open table to eat. Weren't offered refills or another round of beverages. Server was probably just busy... Lots of parking. There was some construction in the area so getting there was a little different. But nothing that was a show stopper. We weren't asked for a seating preference: they had open booths, tables and bar seats.
