I never leave bad reviews of places but this one I had to. This has been my second time coming to mugshot. The first time it was ok it was a Saturday 9am and they were fast and the coffee was decent. However, today a total different story the place was busy which is fine we dont mind waiting but unfortunately the service was terrible.

I ordered an iced americano, white chocolate mocha and a cheescake berry waffle. We waited 20min and nothing was coming up for us. My husband stood in the bar waiting for our order and absolutely nothing. I came up to the bar to wait too and notice that the barista was clueless on what coffees she had ready and what was on the counter. I also notice a women come and very politely say her iced decaf coffee wasn't ready and a random women sitting on the bar using her laptop very rudely told her "It happens". First I was confused on why this random women was answering but then realize she was also an employee. The same women politely again asked for ketchup and once again this employee who very obviously wasnt working at the time replied super rudely "NO WE DONT HAVE THAT HERE".

Well after 25min I decided to ask where was my order turns out my coffee was just sitting there. I also notice a mocha sitting there too and ask if that was my order and barista said no that's a mocha. So I continued to wait to only to be told 7min later that it was in fact my coffee. At this point my toddler was over sitting so of course we had to rush out but the waffle wasn't ready yet. So I went up to counter to ask for a status of my waffle order and they literally hadnt even started my order so I asked if I could just get a refund. They were hesitant and told me it be a 2min wait. I said no I have to go and they proceed to offer a free waffle "technically not free" next time and I politely said no sorry not coming here again but I was baffled by how they wanted me to continue waiting and still offer a little voucher for a waffle for next time instead of offering a refund. No sorry!

Also the mocha was not a white chocolate mocha and both coffees were terrible. Not worth the wait at all!

I have been looking for a new coffee shop since I moved to this area and was hoping Mug Shots would be it, but it has fell flat for me one too many times. The coffee is wonderful but the service is an issue for me.

The main reason for this is I never feel like they are staffed enough to be able to meet me at the counter when I walk in and take my order. Every experience has been someone finishing whatever task they are doing no matter how long it takes before meeting me at the counter. I have stopped coming here when in a time crunch because I don't think I can get in and out in a short amount of time due in part to this exact reason.

Additionally, while the staff has rarely made me feel welcome there, much less like a valued customer, today I went in and had the experience that spurred this post. There was a couple in the store at a booth and I walked in. I waited a couple minutes per usual to have my order taken, then sat down to wait when someone the staff obviously knew walked in to order their drink. They started and finished the other customer's drink before they touched mine. I order large black iced Americanos for reference. It wasn't busy and there was no reason to jump me in line (by this time we were the only (2) active customers there).

I have continued visiting this place despite being disappointed by the length of time it takes to be greeted here because they make a fantastic Americano, but I want a coffee shop that makes me feel valued as a customer rather than an after thought when someone more exciting comes in behind me. One person skipped me in line, it may seem like no big deal but I'll take my coffee and bakery order elsewhere, thanks for the Americanos, they were great while...

I’ve driven by many times and the place is a little hidden in the corner, but first impressions were awesome! We went around ~11a on a Friday and it wasn’t very busy. I enjoyed the open layout and our breakfast sandwiches and drinks came out pretty quick. The drinks tasted super good and not artificial or overly sugary at all. It seems they use a much higher quality coffee and we’d prefer them over Caribou or Starbucks. The sandwiches were also bomb and there’s complimentary hot sauce and water. We’ll definitely be coming back more often - it also seems like a great place to work remotely or study with the fast WiFi they had. Really glad this place exists in the community.

1 year update - unfortunately, I haven’t been going as often because the service became slower and slower. Items would be missed or forgotten and having a naming system would be helpful rather than just placing items on the counter. Food and drinks would also taste super inconsistent depending on who made it. Maybe I’ll come back soon.

Update 5/10/24: I placed an order online for a blended latte hoping I wouldn’t have to wait as long. This ended up being the worst visit. When I came 20 min later, the order hadn’t gone through(?) so the staff member had no idea what I was talking about. I was ok waiting a little as she made it, I understand that tech issues happen. When I received the item, it was so watered down and bland and...
