Square Donuts - 3rd St. — Restaurant in Bloomington

I honestly can't believe that this place has such stellar reviews. We purchased pretty much one of every type available this morning. They all have a very distinct off-putting flavor. The donuts are seriously some of the nastiest that my family has ever had. We each grabbed a donut this morning and not one of us actually finished one. So, we of course tried the other varieties and the cake with sprinkles type got a gag out of my daughter. I tried it and spit it out... Burnt horrid flavor.

How in the world has this place received nearly 5 stars? Do people around Bloomington really set their standards that low?

Even though the storefront isn't very big, they take great pains to keep everyone safe during the pandemic. We have found the people who work here to be extremely helpful, patient and friendly. It's not always easy for employees to wait for children to decide on their donut flavor, especially when there are other customers waiting to order. They are very helpful, and make suggestions to help move the process along. There are a lot of choices when you are looking for a donut shop. Square Donuts does not disappoint. The donuts...

As soon as I walked in I was greeted. When ai was choosing donuts, the woman at the counter was very patient and let me take my time, I ended up trying 6 different donuts and both my significant other and I enjoyed them all.
