Great Taste Buffet — Restaurant in Bloomington

Today's (7/12/22) was so different from the last time. Today it was 1 pm when we arrived. Isn't that lunch time? Several of the trays were empty. The cashier brought our drinks right away and then disappeared into the kitchen. They began filling the hot bar with food. The rice they brought it was not even warm. The crab Rangoons were hot and amazing.

About the time we were done eating, the cashier came out of the kitchen and began collecting soiled plates from all of the tables. She had to take them to the back because all bus tubs were overflowing. So as far as drink refills, it was fend for yourself. We still left a gratuity because that's what you are supposed to do, besides, it looked like they were short staffed.

Update: August 10, 2023...thought we would try again. That was the BEST Chinese food I have in quite a while. It's not even like the same place. It was VERY CLEAN, HOT DELICIOUS FOOD, It totally made a 100% turn around. I tried a little of just about everything and was stuffed. Changing my rating back to 5 stars. The one person cleaning tables and taking orders at the door never slowed down. She was very polite and keep her eyes on the drinks. The room was about 75% full of people enjoying their food. I was amazed at the difference!!!

They stole my money. Chinese grouch,.she called police on me. Customer calls police on them for their treatment she never gave me my $60. Back I told her to look in the boxes some does not have food . I was told no again and police said I could not go back there again . They kept my $60. Would not let me put other foods in it. That place will be taken to court for stealing my money. A huge thanks for the support from so many ppl .standing up for me. I purchased 6 to go boxes. It cost me $60.00 I pay, go back to where the food is. And noticed "7" of the pans were empty. I ask how long will it take. I was told. Now.they bring it out.i waited. Mean time I decided to put in the boxes what was on the kids list . I also put rice in 2 boxs. I ask again but now 15 min ..no food brought out .. other ppl were waiting too.no food was brought out. So after 25 MIN. My boxes have very little in them. In fact 2 are completely empty. I ask again. And told the Chinese grouch woman. It's been too long. I need to go. Just give me back my money she said NO .. I ASK WHY...THEN OTHER PPL STOOD UP FOR ME. They wanted to talk to the manager. The Chinese grouch said hateful NO.. they decided they wanted their money back . Said they did not go there to see sshe and hear this Chinese grouch yell at me, put me down down. never post reviews but I feel I need to in this case. I've ate at this restuarant with my family for years (prefered the previous management, especially after tonight). We had never really had much of a problem before. I went in there at about 7:30 this evening to enjoy a nice dinner with my family. After paying and walking up to the buffet I immediately realize that the food that was available had been setting there for awhile. Half the buffet didn't even have food on it. After saying, "I'm not paying for this" they decided to start restocking the buffet. I sat down to give them time to restock. They started bringing out luke warm food, very slowly. As I proceeded to eat, the owner decided to stand at the service door and stare at me as you could tell I was unhappy. When I got up to leave the owner than had his kitchen staff watch me walk out while they were all back there laughing at me. They are all rude and the food was all old or cold. Definitely save your money and don't go to this place. There are plenty of other Chinese restuarants available in this town that will treat their costumers better than this place. I honestly have no idea how they are still open with food (including seafood) being served under the required...
