Will not be going back when in the area. Wanting a slightly lighter meal with no rice and beans (typical low cost un inspiring pairings) one ordered the mini taco salad with chicken. The other a al la cart order of 2 Chile Rellanos, stuffed peppers. Stuffed peppers are typically just that, a stuffed pepper. They are often upright but possibly on its side with the filling inside, then baked. This establishment served a undersized poblano with cheese and ground beef crumples on top. My partner was very hungry and didn't want to complain, but ate it less the last 2 bites when I tried it. It was awful, the tomato sauce was like pizza sauce and the grease and meat tasted weird. The chicken taco salad was not horrible, but was not worth the price or really enjoyable. There was little chicken. The chicken there was in about 3 or 4 pinky sized pieces. These I pulled apart to make them go further. The chicken tasted off too, like it was microwaved. I wished I had more sour cream to cover up the taste but the servers were not reachable, more than once. So I covered it with some salsa once we finally reached our server to get some after a several minute wait and getting up with the bowl in hand. Would recommend El Raparo in Greensburg to take clues on what should be done in a Mexican food establishment. El Raparo had excellent steak fajita's , just wish they came with more...
Read moreDont get me wrong service and atmosphere is amazing. Food is also great every single time., But one thing that bothers me is when I have an intolerance to chicken. So I always order steak or ground beef. Well if something is cooked in something that has cooked chicken recently it is completely contaminated and I would get sick if I ate it like that, well as all of these types of restaurants I always get ungodly sick because none of them clean the pans before cooking someone else's meal. I got sick feeling after about 5 minutes into the meal .Meal was amazing absolutely stunning but their inability to clean pans before using for another type of meat or meal pisses me off. I paid for a meal I was sick after eating .I didn't ask for refund or free food because the meal was amazing ,but still...
Read moreCasa Brava is MORE like an employee-owned company with great food and exceptional service. I have been a patron of cassabrava and its brother store,Lacherades on N. Walnut, for at least 20 years.
Not once have I ever received cold food, poor service, or unfriendly hosted or host.
Onthe contrary, I've seen professionalism in employment from staff. I have greatly enjoyed the variety of dishes and am complimented by their services that reflects in their billing. They are a fair / fine good food restaurant that deserves five stars for the reasons I've stated above.
Their dishes are tasty, gratifying and plain delicious, and their staff knows how to please. Try the Yolanda's :)
Side Note: In no way have I been compensated for my review. I only review what I discover. John Arnold,...
