Probably the best place to go and grab boba in town, especially if you live on campus. The boba is great and so is the poke. The matcha boba is especially good considering how bad the matcha is everywhere else in town, such as Soma. The employees are mostly friendly and quick. My main issue is that they have a sign on the register that says you can only use card if you make an order of $8 or more, and I didn’t have cash. There’s no reason for this and when I said I couldn’t pay because I only had card and my boba was only like $6, they just let me use my card anyways. So this just feels like a way to force people to buy some of their egg tarts or food items because one boba tea will basically never be enough money to use your card otherwise. This is an inappropriate marketing strategy and to me shows that the owner cares more about making the extra money than supplying a service. It’s just predatory. Still though, this shop has really good boba and poke so I definitely recommend it, just be aware of the $8 thing. Hopefully they just outright remove this ...
Read moreI tried a poke bowl and a bubble tea. The design is a little bare but there's a decent amount of seating. Friendly service at the counter, easy to build your own bowl. I got a small poke bowl with tofu skins (inari) and a winter melon milk with grass jelly. No matter what size bowl you get, you can add as many vegetable toppings as you want. There are lots of options. A few are an extra cost but most are included. I felt like the staff was actually trying to load the bowl up as I was ordering. All the stuff in my bowl tasted fresh. I got the sweet chili sauce and ginger dressing and that was a great combination. The bowl came out a little saucy but not in a bad way. The winter melon milk was a little too sweet for me. Normally I get drinks at low sweetness levels when ordering bubble tea but there's no option to adjust sweetness here. But if you like sweet drinks I think this would be good. I was happy with my decision to come here for a quick dinner. Good if you want something fast but tasty...
Read morePretty pricey for what you get. I was hoping the small bowl would be bigger than I expected, but it wasn't. The poke was just OK, not amazing. A lot of the veggies like the jalapenos and pineapple were canned and not fresh, which was disappointing for the cost. I paid extra for a second protein and I barely even noticed it was there. Also, I'd advise against putting wasabi in. They probably put at least 2tbsp in a tiny bowl and all I could really taste was the wasabi. Not very well balanced. I've had a lot better poke for less money at many...
