I have come to expect some level of quality and speed when ordering at McDonalds. Nothing crazy however I expect it to be close to other locations in the area. Every single time I decide to go here it is a bad experience. Just look at their google reviews. Tons of 1 star experiences.
Most recently I went here to try the new snack wrap as I hadnt eaten all day and was tired. Excited to eat I reach into the bag as Im driving. It’s like someone just tossed the ingredients into the paper and closed it up. Immediately my hand is covered in mayonnaise as I blindly unwrap this monstrosity. I reach for napkins in this bag there are none. I go to take a sip of my Diet Coke and the lid is ill fitting dumping half of my beverage down the front of my shirt.
The time prior I went early on a Sunday to treat my lovely girlfriend to breakfast. We ordered inside and the food took 40 minutes to come out at which point it was cold. The staff didnt speak to anybody and seemed generally upset at the fact that anyone had decided to eat there. The laziness of the staff does not make me trust their ability to clean or maintain proper food standards.
Prior to this incident I had my first encounter with this location which was probably the worst of the 3. There was a deal for buy one get one free breakfast sandwiches. I ordered 2 and then told them I would like to use the deal. This staff member barely spoke English but essentially informed me that the sandwiches I had chosen were excluded from the deal. No problem I say, I’ll get the 2 that are included. He rings me up and I pay, (without looking at the total). Upon arriving at the next window I am given 4 sandwiches. Upon looking over the receipt I spot the issue, He had rung up my original 2 and then the 2 I wanted with the deal, he then had apparently not correctly entered the deal into the system causing me to be charged 20ish dollars for what I originally wanted to only pay around 4. When I explained this to the 2nd window the employee said there was not an easy way to reverse the purchase and I would have to wait for a manager to greet me by my car. At this point I was already running mildly late to work due to either the fact that they were making the food slow or perhaps due to the fact that I had to wait for what was essentially a double order. I had no time to wait and had to move on with my life 20 dollars in the hole.
I am a red blooded American. This establishment is engrained in the fiber of our great country. I don't expect perfect service, amazing food, or recently even cheap prices. All I ask for is consistency and this particular location has fallen significantly behind. I cannot in good faith ever return to this location, which is sad for me because it is 5 minutes from my apartment. Unfortunately it seems that the hiring standards here exclude only those who are dead because the workers either don’t speak English or can’t be bothered to do...
Read moreWe are visiting from Florida to attend a basketball game of our nephew. We decided to stop at McDonald's with our 8 year old Niece, my 9 year old daughter, and 2 year old son, before going to the game. We ordered a large combo of nuggets, cheeseburgers, and fries on the mobile app for dine-in. What we thought would be a 3-10 minute wait for food turned into a 20-30 minute wait, with young children growing restless. When the food arrived we were missing sauces for the nuggets. We were never asked if we need ketchup or napkins. Of course there are no ketchup or napkins available by the beverage counter. Then when asked for cups for water we were charged $0.25 each. I've never had to pay for water anywhere or any other McDonald's before. Apparently the water McDonald's does sell must be bad for you too, because it's taxed... While were were there awaiting food the growing crowd of impatient people formed in the dining room. Many snickering because no manager or employee came to the front kiosk at all. There is no interaction with customers. When you thank an employee for the food they don't welcome you. You don't feel like a valued customer, at all, at this McDonald's. Everyone here is "Mad or Sad," said another guy waiting about a half hour for his order. We, also, witnessed multiple drive through orders come inside and one demanding his money back. An employee was refusing to refund the customer if he did not say, "please." This is the biggest joke of a McDonald's ran by the most unprofessional employees of all time. McDonald's Corp. needs to go in and fire every single person there and start fresh with a polite, caring, and professional group of employees. We already told all of out friends and family in Bluffton, SC to avoid this McDonald's, but apparently the word has already been going around that that is the worse one. One of the craziest things was that it was only bout 6:00pm when they locked the dining room door and we had to ask to leave. However, all signs said that the dining room was open until 10:00pm. I believe they were just tired of having people come in from the drive-through to complain their order is wrong and...
Read moreANOTHER UPDATE: First, I apologize for encouraging people to come to the McDonalds dine-in to keep them open inside. It's not the service. I could hear someone in the cooking area barking many orders to get things done, and I received my order pretty fast, in the dining area. It's not the atmosphere. The restaurant is clean, comfortable, no real complaints. IT'S THE FOOD! I used to look forward to a juicy hot quarter pounder with cheese, or a big mac. Today (not sure why just today), I realized what is hidden in all that sauce and lettuce. It's dried up, very thin patties that don't even fill the diameter of the bun! I've added pictures of what you get now when you order a quarter pounder with cheese. Take a very close look at it and tell me that you want to order this. By the way, this patty is thicker than the regular hamburger patty. Really!!! I am soooo disappointed at the McDonalds organization for letting their food get to this point. Look at the pictures. They say everything. The least that management could do is not cook these patties DRY and burnt looking. Sadly, this life long lover of McDonalds is giving up! See ya!!! You've lowered yourselves to the level of Sonic, and that is low...
