Benny Bob's Barbecue — Restaurant in Blytheville

We were passing through and decided to try some local BBQ.

I didn't take any photos because there was no point. The ribs had no smoke flavor and seemed to have been oven-baked. The seasoning was mild. The pulled pork was dry and I had to add sauce to it - you shouldn't have to add sauce to good bbq.

The most annoying thing was we walked in, looked around and waited for someone to tell us to be sat, or something. Instead the staff just stared at us. We weren't local and I guess they figured it out. We sat down and after awhile someone came and took our order. She was nice (hence the 2 stars) and the food came out quick, but the first impression of 0 hospitality already...

I guess it’s my fault for not asking but I ordered the 1/2 chicken and it must have been cooked a few days ago. It was dry with no flavor. Good bbq doesn’t need sauce but this is t good bbq so I tried to put some sauce on it. Sauce is not good either.

Not sure where some of those horrible reviewers ate but it sure wasn't the same place we just finished eating ! The food and the service were excellent. The iced tea delicious. I had the catfish which was some of the best I've ever eaten. Portions were so generous I couldn't even finish it. Prices are reasonable. Definitely will return on our next...
