I stayed three nights. Breakfast is the attached Perkins Pancake House which normally isnât that bad. The food voucher from the hotel though gives you two eggs, a list of sausages, ham and a potato variety. I eat carefully which is not the Arkansas way, so there was nothing in column two or three of any interest and the over-easy eggs were only a notch thicker than water. I never went back for my remaining breakfasts. We booked 2 queen beds and were given 2 sets of towels. At 11 after the 1st night, I realized I might not get any housekeeping and asked for towels from a housekeeper I found who said sheâd tell the appropriate person. That hadnât happened by 1pm, so on my way out, I went to the front desk and asked for towels again (and toilet paper). I believe it was Porsha (not Porsche) at the front desk, who appeared to really care less. She offered me a roll of toilet paper on the spot but I wasnât going back to my room, so again I suggested to have it and towels sent up. No one ever went into my room all day.As I left the room after the second night there happened to be a housekeeper next to my door and I asked again if I could at least get towels. She said I was supposed to get towels every day and doesnât know what happened the day before, but unfortunately, she did not have any towels to give me and would have to pass a message along. I walked through the lobby at about 11am and asked again at the front desk. Again, it was Porsha, and again I donât feel she took me seriously. Another woman overheard this (it appears she was a shift manager) who was very apologetic and swore she would get me towels. Nothing by 4pm. *. 4th request in 2 days. As I went out for dinner, I asked again, and again told it would be taken care of. I was apprehensive with the sting of previous promises not upheld, and another woman at the desk, rather saltily said she would take of it. Apparently she did! Too bad I never got trash emptied in 3 days, old towels not removed and the last few squares of tp werenât replenished from the 1/3 rolls provided. Even the Kleenex was empty, using maybe 5.Same pool towels and trash laying by the pools for 2 full days. There was a towel wadded by the outdoor pool gate, and it also didnât move for 2 days. The restaurant/bar...
Read moreThis was far and away the worst hotel I have ever stepped foot in. First, the rooms, which we had a total of six, were all filthy. My specific room had black dust and mold on the ceiling coming from a vent, had red and black mold surrounding the tub that didnât have a drain stopper, there was a massive stain in the carpet, the walls were all scuffed up, dirty, and in two places had holes in them. Further the walls are paper thin so you can hear everything going on in the rooms around you. The room which had two queen beds and for which was booked for two people had only one towel and when we asked for more we were told they didnât have any. We also noticed a mildew smell throughout the room and a general dampness to most soft surfaces. Second was our experience at their partner restaurant, Perkins. We chose to eat dinner there since it is advertised all over the hotels website that kids eat free Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We were of course told that we were incorrect by both the staff at Perkins and the manager at the hotel even after showing them their website and reading the fine print to them. Then, beware! The restaurant will not give you a bill to pay from but instead ask you to pay at the front counter. There they will still not show you the breakdown of your meal which is where, I believe, their little scam comes in. We asked if tipping for our group was included to which we were assured it wasnât. We added our 20% and went back to our table. The other half of our group demanded to see their bill before paying and wouldnât you knowâŚthey add 18% gratuity for tips. When we confronted the staff about this situation they claimed they had no idea, but also didnât offer to give us any of the money back. Avoid this hotel at all costs, but if you absolutely have to stay here are to bring sandals to wear in the room and shower. Donât trust anyone who...
Read moreOur son got married on this weekend. This had been my third stay at the hotel. On the first trip I went to see hotel and area and speak to someone regarding our stay. I was told they could accommodate us without issue.
On the 2nd trip I went for the bridal shower and stayed and again spoke with employees at the desk to review the upcoming wedding and reserve a block of rooms for out of town guest. I again was assured we would all be in block of rooms.
On the wedding weekend I arrived on Tuesday ahead of the Saturday wedding. Upon entering my room the refrigerator had defrosted and water was covering floor. I called and reported to desk and was brought towels to clean it up. After driving all night I was tired and had worked on the wedding prior to getting into my room but went ahead and moped it up. The next day I left to do more wedding details to return and the room had not been cleaned. To make this long story short. My room was not located next to the block of other rooms - I was moved to new room and moved 2 carts of clothes, etc into the new room. The night of the wedding we returned to room at midnight and our room had not been cleaned so called the desk and my husband had to go get towels at desk. Without checking towels since we were tired, we went to bed since we had to be up early to catch our flight in Memphis. The "towels" we were given were bathmats. Needless to say, we used them since housekeeping wasn't available as early as we needed to leave for flight. For the amount of money, we spent on rooms for the weekend I am very upset. Also - workers stay in this hotel that are working at a steel plant. They get up early and are extremely noisey. I called the hotel on our way home to speak to someone regarding the towel - stay issues. Operator could not help me so I left my number and asked for a return call. 2 days later and no...
