Gyro Xpress Boca — Restaurant in Boca Raton

I waited until I ate at Gyro Xpress three times before I left a review just to make sure the phenomenal food and service wasn't a one-time thing and I WAS RIGHT!

This place serves some of the best Greek food (hell, food in general) that I have ever had!

I usually go a Beef/Lamb Gyro or in today's case, a Gyro platter, and my wife goes for the Falafel pita and it's always amazing.

Strangely enough, this place's french fries/sweet potato fries are insanely good and way better than anything I've ever gotten out of a burger joint, but the best part about Gyro Xpress is its employees.

They are wonderful, friendly, always smiling and happy to assist, and they get you your food quick.

This is a AAA restaurant and a true gem in Boca, and I will be coming back quite regularly on my work lunch breaks for more!

EDIT: I've just read a bunch of other reviews, some of which spoke of small portion sizes and terrible service.

I am not sure where these people dined, but it wasn't here.

The portions are generous but not "Costco-sized", and that's fine. I would rather a generous, DELICIOUS meal than an enormous, bland one.

Also, we're talking about Palm Beach County, and specifically Boca. This is a wealthy area, where cost of living, cost of rent, food, etc. is more expensive than a backwater town.

Don't come expecting Poconos prices in a well-to-do area, and I'm sure if the service was anything less than exceptional, the patrons and their attitudes have something...

If you’re looking for authentic Middle Eastern food that tastes exactly like grandma’s cooking, look no further than Gyro Express Boca. I’ve been to countless Middle Eastern restaurants everywhere, and I can honestly say nothing compares to this place.

The lamb gyro is on another level, flavorful, tender, and absolutely mouthwatering. It’s so good that words can’t even describe it. The salad, hummus, pita, and rice are all fresh, perfectly seasoned, and made with true care. Every bite makes you feel like you’re eating a homemade meal filled with love.

The only small thing I’d mention is that for the price, I wish the portions of rice and lamb were a bit more generous. But honestly, the quality and flavor are so top-notch that it still earns a full 5 stars from me.

Tried giving this place the benefit of the doubt and a second chance after the first time we ordered was completely wrong, but our order was wrong yet again. It's not hard to serve people what they order and are paying for.

The first time I saw the order while picking up and told them it was wrong- ordered chicken and there was a spinach pie....? They said they'd fix it but all they did was take out the ingredients I didn't ask for (onions etc) and put them back in the serving container for each ingredient visible from where I was standing. That's not only unsanitary even with gloves but it's gross and cross contaminates the ingredients. The second time we ordered chicken gyro and got chicken kebab instead. What's the point of ordering if something that simple is mixed up. The steak was too tough to chew. It's a shame since I live right by here and would love to find a good weekly spot but this place is not getting a third...
