Me and a couple of friends are regulars here... well.. WERE regulars. The situation was that we would go every night, have a good time, and then leave like usual. However one night a friend of ours brought in a cup of beer to sip at the table, he then threw it away in the trash can. My friends then found out they were not supposed to be drinking here so they left to drink and then come back. The bartender who goes by the name of Jenny then found the remains of the beer my friend had earlier, and upon she instructed not JUST the person who drank the beer, but everyone, the entire friend group (around 7-8 of us) to leave and to never come back or she will threaten to call the police. We've tried MULTIPLE times to apologize, it was a simple and honest mistake for bringing a cup of beer inside a place such as this... however she has consistently denied our sincere apology and threatened to call the police every single time. We had enjoyed this place.. but the new management is extremely unprofessional. I was not banned but I heard this incident from a close friend, went in to try to apologize, and she banned me too because I am associated with them... I'm not sure how this makes sense or why this is even allowed from a managerial standpoint... which is why I'm writing this review. I myself and my friends have spoken to one other manager about the situation but all he does is tell us to speak to the other manager, Jenny. From my point of view shes being very petty and unprofessional. Many other regulars are leaving this place as well because of the poor management. I advise anyone to steer clear of this place, or tread lightly, they seem to have the power to ban anyone for any reason. Don't blink too fast in front of them... don't even tie your shoe the wrong way or you'll be asking for an immediate and...

Sad to say as I really liked this place and enjoyed going, I have never been disrespectful or made any problems here ever which is why I took this all so personally. I have been coming here on and off for years, pretty frequently. Bringing them new customers and profit consistently. Never had an issue other than some of the bartenders being a little dense and ignoring me when trying to order or close my tab. Until last night where my friends and I were treated incredibly disrespectfully and yelled at by Zack, one of the bartenders, over a simple misunderstanding. All the employees other than Jenny and Kylie, the short Kylie as there are two of them, are airheads and have no concern for their customers, regulars included. Wont be bringing anyone or recommending this place to anyone any longer. You would think there would be a little more respect and consideration for regulars. I was also accused of not paying my tab from a previous night when I have never left without closing my tab as well as being charged for drinks I never ordered. Also fairly certain they overcharged me at least 5 dollars more than what I usually pay for 2 drinks but I didn't even argue and just left as I could not deal with them anymore that night. Jenny's kindness and the drinks are the only things that keep me coming back, however, probably wont be nearly as frequently from now on. They should just let Jenny run the place as she see's fit and I bet things would change...

In the past 4+ years I’ve spent about $25,000-$30,000 here and every time I tipped the bartenders. I was here last morning and bought my favorite large mango pineapple drink from Amanda and cashed out with her, I went to sit with my wife in the pool room. Then after 20 minutes of playing pool I sat down at the bar. They asked me, “do you need anything?” I said, “No, I am good for now; I cashed out with Amanda.” The bartender explained that I needed to spend at least 5$. Both bartenders one after the other asked me to buy something 30 minutes after I cashed out with Amanda. I did not see them repeat those same actions towards the other customers. The bartenders made me uncomfortable/anxious. It is important to note that I am the only Asian man sitting at the bar. Herbs and roots WAS my favorite kava bar. Ive spent years here with friends from open-to-close, bringing in more loyal customers as the years went by. I’ve come to learn that it’s just a racists, bigoted, and most importantly a money hungry business.

P.S. Amanda is amazing...
