Fritze's BBQ & Catering — Restaurant in Boerne

I always thought that when you eat BBQ, for the most part unless you burn everything, you can't fuq that shit up.. I was wrong... dead wrong. I came to eat here today and the food and the staff were, let's say lack there of.... i got the family meal which includes 2 meats and 3 sides and apparently no drinks. I told them I wanted Turkey and brisket for the meats. The 3 sides were the hash Browns, the cream, corn and the Green Beans now out of all 3 of the sides. The only decent ish one was the potato hash Browns, which were still burnt and Tasted, like they were a day old overseaoned. The Green beans, although seemed to have been the fresh tasted, like they were canned and sitting in that pot for about 18 hours and don't even get me started on the creamed corn, where was the cream? It tasted like canned corn, sitting in its own juices for roughly 3 to 5 weeks before being stirred once and being pawned off as creamed corn.... now, to the meats, the icing on the cake for this entire experience was the processed, big chunk. Turkey, that is sliced half an inch, thick and tastes like it's been sitting in a metal PAN, waiting to be served to inmates instead of a county jail.... the brisket was the only thing decent. We are beyond pleased with our catering pick up order for our engagement party! Fritze’s was recommended to us by family after our original catering order was cancelled by a different neighboring barbecue restaurant in Boerne. Given that it was for a big holiday weekend, we knew that it may not be possible to place an order, but Fritze’s bbq made it happen! We are pleased with the quality of food and outstanding service. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. It is modest in size with indoor and outdoor seating, plus a drive-thru window for convenience....parking is available at their lot. We ordered their one meat and two meat plates with two sides per plate. I had the brisket and pork spare ribs, my wife had the pork spare ribs. My sides were cucumber salad and Dill coleslaw, hers were barbecue beans and cucumber salad. We really enjoyed the food! The ribs were meaty and smokey, my brisket was tender and juicy, and their barbecue sauce had a vinegary tang to it. Exceptional were the sides of cucumber salad (in particular), as well as the beans and Dill slaw.
