It always shocks me how much people love this place. I simply have issues with the business model and the way itās ran. It just doesnāt seem worth the cost at all for what you get. Donāt get me wrong, I love noodles, but this place is cheap quality and just not worth the price. They also donāt have a good attitude about that, putting signs every where saying ā if two people eat out of one bowl they pay twiceā. I understand implementing rules, but other than the different front of house person they hire to be the face of the restaurant, there is really nothing quality or customer friendly about this place. They are not an all you can eat restaurant, so why are they so penny pinching? They just want to make an easy buck with cheap ingredients and minimal effort. Maybe Iām just way pickier than most but thatās my opinion. Iāve been coming here for many years and it never seems to change.
Extremely low quality ingredients with minimal cooking demands, Mongolian BBQ places like this must make a huge profit margin, Because it is crazy how very expensive their prices are. Whenever I come in I just see 2-3 guys sitting in the corner chatting, which I guys makes sense because what else would they be doing? Prepping? Cooking? Iām sure they just unzip bags and dump stuff into trays.
$16 tonight for my food, which I ate in one sitting and would call a normal American portion. I took time to put in the seasonings, sauces, and oils as recommended and my food was still very bland because of the amount of dowsing in water they continually used as they cooked it. So disappointing.
Save your money and get something that actually had some effort put into it for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is an excellent place to stop for a meal. Iāve actually never had Mongolian-style food before so I canāt vouch for authenticity or anything like that, but I can certainly vouch for how tasty it was.
Just pick all the veggies (theyāre great), and then stack up as many noodles and cuts of meat you can manage without having them flop over the side. You may want to go for more than the recommended 6 ladles of sauce as I found the flavor definitely ran off a bit during the cooking. I would certainly add a ladle of spicy sauce as well, as it rounds out the flavor without making it overbearingly hot.
As for the cost, really canāt go wrong with any of the bowl sizes, as the prices are totally fair for all of them. I got the medium ($13) and really ought to have taken a picture to visualize just how much food I was able to fit in there. If I were to come back, I would probably go for the AYCE option, as $17 would be a wonderful deal for multiple bowls of the stir fry I got.
Service was great! Absolutely no complaints about the friendly servers and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst of all it was so complicated finding the entrance because the restaurant is next to a car wash and it pretty confusing to figure out how to enter and where to park. Next, rhe service was okay, however the food is below average. There were only two options of meat, pork and beef; these are thinly sliced so after the meet is cooked the slivers of meet get lost in the noodles. There was hardly any meat after the meal was cooked. I have been to other Mongolian bbq's and the selection of meats/proteins are bigger and the portions of meat are bigger. I was very disappointed, it wasn't worth the trouble of finding the right entrance or parking lot. This is a good option for vegetarians but I do like meat so I expected to have some in my noodles. But three slivers of shaven meet are not worth $14.00, and trust me I put a lot of that in my bowl There are just shaven so thinly and small that by the time they are cooked they reduce to...
