Taquería El Valle — Restaurant in Bolingbrook

This place was not worth going too & should be ashamed of themselves. First off if you go with a big party of people make sure you take cash because they will give you separate checks but over charge you and add there own 20% tip to each check, even if you are only one person! I think the tip should not be more than what you eat & drink. They added stuff that wasn’t ordered so just make sure to read your recipe before you pay. If they take a little from each person they’re rich. Next thing their tampiquenia steak is a joke. 24.99 for a 3inch piece of meat is ridiculous and it was not good at all. Their can beans made everyone’s stomach hurt. So I’m sorry but no, I would never go back to this place. Also one more thing that was very rude and thankfully our party didn’t care to make a scene. The meat was well under cooked, we asked for medium well. When the waitress was asked if they can cook it a bit more because it was very pink she says well I don’t eat meat so I don’t know what it is supposed to look like. She takes the meat and is going around telling everyone our business as if it were a problem that we wanted our meat cooked correctly. She brings it back and says is this good enough for you in the worse manner it was ridiculous. Mind you it’s a small restaurant you can hear anything around you from the door to the cash register and people knowing they are talking about us asking to cook the meat to how we asked was a bit rude. They charged drinks that we did not ordered and had to give us our money back because an extra 4.99 is a lot. Mind you they add 20% tip already. My cousins bill was supposed to be $75.45 with tip it was over $94 when I asked to see there bill because it was only two of them, they had charge her $4.99 for extra drink and 20% tip. I told her get your money back for extra drink they gave her back a $5 bill in cash. She paid with card and if they didn’t give her back her taxes. That shows a lot. And I do not respect it. Of course they want to reply to this post in the rude manner they treat people. But our party had 14 not 18 people. And if those beans are house made they are horrible. Update 1/14/2022- I had to lower my review from a 5 star to a 2 star due to the poor service and quality I received this morning. Coffee is disgusting I brought it up to the gentleman and he stated there was nothing he can do and proceeded to still charge $2.99 for a cup of coffee that was un-drinkable. I don’t mind paying for good quality or something I am actually eating but I do mind paying for non consumed products. The food was horrible this time around. Birria soup was cold. This was such a disappointment compared to my first experience. My first 5 star was a late afternoon visit and my 2 star was a early morning. I hope this family owned business starts paying closer attention to the quality and customer service before they lose business. As of right now I will not give this location another try the gentleman’s attitude made me feel like he was mad because I did him a favor in telling him the coffee was bad. I think it wouldn’t have taken much to make a new pot of coffee. I have added pictures and the receipt so it’s verified. Prices are not matching menu they are suppose to get new menus supposedly next week, so the current menus are not accurate.

The best tasting Mexican food! Great food is hard to find but look no more this place has what your taste buds need. They have generous portions for a low reasonable price. Staff are very polite and have great customer service skills. I definitely recommend and will be returning to enjoy their...

Normally this place is great we love their food but the last two times have been upsetting. We went in today on this hot July day and everything was wrong from the beginning. There was no air conditioning inside and it felt horrible, I went to wash my hands before eating and there was only hand sanitizer and no soap which i said okay, then one of the staff from the back went into the bathroom and came out like nothing but how did he wash his hands if there was no soap??? Then we get our tacos shrimp and trips and asada and the shrimp has 3 shrimps inside with this big tortilla and no seasoning or flavor. We also were the only table who they forgot to give salsa to so I had to get up and ask for it. I'm not sure if they changed cooks but things taste different now and I used to love this place and would tell people this was one of the best in bolingbrook. Don't think I'll be back for a while.

Los tacos de camarón no tienen sabor, solo tenía 3 camarones con una tortilla grande, no me dieron salsa porque pensaron que me dieron, que es lo de menos.
