Stopped for our very first (and last) time today. Walked in at 2:04 on Sunday not having any idea that they had closed at 2. No sign on the door....door unlocked....dining room full of customers....and frankly it's 2pm on a Sunday.

As we walk in, we start looking for a place to sit our family of 5. As we see a table across the way, a waitress yells ( yes yells!) In an angry tone at us from the complete other side of the dining room...." I'm gonna stop you right there!! We are closed!!". The entire restaurant seemed to look at us as though we had purposely walked in knowing they were closed. My wife and I looked at each other and weren't quite sure what we had heard, so my wife said " I'm sorry...did you say you were closed? We didn't see any sign saying that" Intge rudest tone possible, the answer was "yyyeeeppp...WE CLOSE AT 2 on SUNDAY!

Needless to say, we won't be back.... totally unnecessary. She very easily could have walked over and explained things without creating a scene and embarassing us...

Absolutly thee best fish fry I have had in a long time. First time here and the fried Haddock was out of this world good. The resturant hit a huge grand slam. Friendly and accommodating staff ready to make sure your visit was memoroble. Deffinatly planning on another visit. Tell your friends and neighbors to come down to Hungry Bear Resturant in Bonduel.

Went again 3/12/21 with friends who also agreed that it was so good. Not just the fish but everything in the meal. And that it ranked right up there as one of the best fish frys they have had. Fast service very friendly wait staff food was fresh and piping hot. So good so satisfying. I think ive found my go to...

Best food for the money in Shawano County. The Lutheran pastors in Shawano County meet there for their annual meal! Each time my family has gone we have needed doggie bags for all the left-over food we didn't eat. And the FOOD IS GOOD! Prices are very reasonable. The place is always busy. Take the kids and entertain them by asking them to count how many bears they can find in the decor! Teddy Bears! Mounted Bears! Painted Bears! Along with the home made quality food you can have beer and wine. Park on the street, the parking lot is small....
