My wife was excited to come to this place as we are new to the area. Google shows they're open until 4pm on Fridays, my wife called to confirm that they're open until 4pm. We got there and this filipino man , worker or maybe owner (we did not ask for his name) but he's got black earrings on, was so mad at us for coming at 3:05pm b/c they're "closing early as it was not a busy day." He was talking rudely to my wife and giving us lectures on coming on time as we said 2:30pm. First of all we have young kids who we dragged 40 mins to eat here, with kids, sometimes getting ready can take forever and we had an appointment that delayed us. He was even questioning why we did not call them that we will be late? Wow. In the first place, this guy should be happy that we came to support the business to try their dishes. We have never met such an arrogant and unprofessional staff. Get this guy fired --- What kind of a person treats customers like this guy did. Bryan on the other hand is a good guy, he took care of our needs. But we are curious who this other guy is - you have to see this review b/c you shouldn't be working in any food places, you are representing the business very badly. Quit your job if you're unhappy, if you're having a bad day, don't take it out on the customers. Don't spread hate - people are just wanting to eat and support...
Read moreMake sure you ask them specific ingredients when ordering! Was craving filipino food while at Naples, FL and this was closest one so went on Friday to take-out and bring home. Started great as the people there were very friendly and accommodating. They told me their food sizes and offered off the menu dishes, which I turned down as I am allergic to one of the ingredient. I specifically told the lady that I am allergic to root crop (taro, yam, cassava, etc) hence I won't be ordering some of the dishes. I did order my favorite pork sinigang among other things. While eating the sinigang for Saturday breakfast, I noticed a weird vegetable on the soup. Upon further inspection, found out that the weird looking veggies is taro and stopped eating altogether. I tried calling them right away to confirm the ingredients but they won't answer the phone and went straight to voicemail. Really disappointed because this incidents are life and death situations. The least they can do is answer their phone specially if they list it on google. They mentioned in their website to inform them of allergies, which I did, but they don't adhere to customers advice. Currently having an allergic reaction and had to take 2 antihistamin to mitigate the reaction. This is very disappointing. I will be very wary...
Read moreThis spot is a gem for Southwest Florida’s growing awareness for Filipino Food and culture. Having grown up on my mothers native Filipino food, and having been on many Filipino food tours throughout the country, I will attest that Eat Sarap serves up some great authentic Filipino Food. Their base menu is perfect for foodies aspiring for those common cultural favorites that you just can’t find anywhere, and its even more perfect for the culinarily courageous foodies that aspire to check more exotic southeast Asian flavors off their bucket list. Everything was delicious and the owners Tess and John were very accommodating in every way. Thank you for pioneering the Filipino Food Movement in SWFL. Lord knows we are tired of driving to Tampa or Kissimmee just to get some. Best wishes to the Eat...
