During my recent visit to Guru Indian Bistro, I had the pleasure of savoring some of the most authentic Indian dishes I’ve ever tasted. The Tandoori Platter and Chicken Tikka Masala were nothing short of exceptional. Tandoori Platter: As an appetizer, the Tandoori Platter was a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds. The variety of meats—including perfectly marinated chicken, kebabs, and shrimp, all grilled to perfection—delivered the signature smoky flavor you’d expect from a top-notch tandoor. The meats were juicy, tender, and packed with robust spices. Chicken Tikka Masala: The Chicken Tikka Masala, which I enjoyed as my main dish, was truly the star of the show. The chicken was succulent and well-marinated, while the sauce had just the right balance of creaminess and spice. The flavors were rich, with a perfect mix of tangy tomato, aromatic spices, and a creamy finish that paired wonderfully with the soft, fluffy basmati rice. Whether you're new to Indian cuisine or a seasoned enthusiast, these dishes will leave you coming back for more. Highly recommended!

Indian is a personal favorite of mine and I’ve been searching for a good, authentic location for a while now. Well, my search is officially over. We started with the traditional, handmade vegetable samosas. The 4 unique sauces complement them very well. Then, we moved onto entrees with the tikka masala. Best I’ve ever had, no doubt about it. I’d suggest pairing it with the garlic naan. You can tell it’s fresh made daily and there isn’t an overpowering garlic flavor which helps nicely tie together the dish. Lastly, we had the kulfi (traditional Indian ice cream). I will caution nut allergy, as there are pistachios and I believe cashews in the ice cream, however this was a perfect way to end off the dinner. The only regret I have is that I can only give a 5 star rating for Guru. They have earned a lifetime customer as far as I’m concerned, and I sincerely cannot wait to return!

5 Stars – Amazing Takeout & Warm Hospitality! We ordered takeout from this local Indian restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor. The Murgh Makhani (butter chicken) was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced. The Kashmiri Rogan Josh had tender lamb in a flavorful tomato and yogurt-based sauce with just the right touch of sweetness. The Keema Naan was delicious—soft naan stuffed with flavorful ground lamb—and the Garlic Naan was star of the show ! Even though it was takeout, the food was hot, well-packaged, and just as good as dine-in. The owner was so kind and welcoming when we picked up the order. 10/10 experience. Highly recommend supporting this local gem!

Our recent visit to Guru Indian Bistro, owned by the talented Sonya with over 30 years of expertise in the restaurant world, was nothing short of extraordinary. This five-star gem is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Indian cuisine served with finesse and care.

We began our culinary journey with Papadam paired with a mango chutney that was absolutely divine—a perfect combination of sweet and tangy flavors that set the tone for the evening.

Next, we shared a Mulligatawny soup, which was hearty and aromatic, and an order of onion bhaji, fried to golden perfection. Both were excellent and left us eagerly anticipating the main courses.

For the entrée, we indulged in two dishes: Murgh Tikka Masala: Tender, boneless Tandoori chicken sautéed with bell peppers in a creamy, tomato-based sauce that was rich and flavorful. Gosht Vindaloo: Sautéed lamb pieces with potatoes in a traditional Goan Vindaloo coconut curry. The blend of sweet, sour, and spicy notes was perfectly balanced and truly memorable. These were beautifully complemented by fragrant saffron basmati rice, which tied all the flavors together seamlessly. Every dish was a testament to Sonya's skill and passion for creating exceptional Indian cuisine. The ambiance, service, and overall experience were top-notch. This was our first visit to Guru Indian Bistro, but it certainly won’t be our last. Highly recommended for anyone looking to savor the best of Indian food in Bonita...

We decided to expand our palates and not go for the usual Italian. I had read about this local Bonita Springs restaurant and it sounded wonderful so we gave it a try. First, we were graciously welcomed by Sophia, the owner of Guru, at the door. Her husband is the chef behind the delicious aromas we inhaled immediately upon entering. The tables and chairs were very comfy and the dining room nicely lit with low lights and a tinkling of Indian music in the background. The menu was filled with so many items that tempted us so we ordered 2 apps, a vegetarian platter and a tandoori platter, that were so flavorful with the freshest of sauces. Our dinner and freshly made bread followed with just the right level of heat that we specified with Sophia. The beef entree I ordered was incredible! Tender, flavorful, different, aaahhhhhhhh, different. The rice was divinely fluffy. My husband enjoyed immensely a shrimp curry entree. Service was very kind and gracious as well. We can’t wait to go back! Who knew we would love the flavors of Indian food! You can’t help to when you dine at Guru! The 2...

If you're craving authentic Indian cuisine, Guru Indian Bistro is a solid choice that brings the rich, flavorful experience of home cooked India food right to your plate.

The menu is extensive, covering a wide range of Indian dishes. For mains, the Murthy Makhani (Butter Chicken) is rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of spices, while the Kashmiri Rogan Josh is tender and flavorful, showcasing the restaurant's mastery in slow-cooked dishes. The naan bread is soft, warm, and made fresh to order—whether you go for garlic naan or the buttery Naan, it’s the perfect accompaniment to your meal.

Service was friendly and attentive, and Sonia - the owner along with her husband - is a pure delight and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. It’s clear that they take pride in their offerings, and they’re happy to make recommendations if you're unsure of what to try.

The quality of the food, and the authentic flavors, make Guru Indian Bistro a great choice for anyone looking to explore the depth and variety of Indian cuisine in a comfortable and enjoyable...
