This was my first and last time eating at this place. I meet up with a good friend of mines to enjoy our Sunday. She recommended this place as she ate there multiple of times in the past. To begin the food portions are small for the price, secondly they have an underage server making alcoholic beverages and lastly, the owner cares about the costs of his products than customer service. I ordered a margarita and letâs just say the margarita was very sour and did not taste like a margarita. The first margarita was made by my server. I asked if the bartender made it and she said no she did as sheâs only 18 and never had alcohol before. I told her she shouldnât even be touching or even serving alcohol can I have a more experienced bartender make me another one. My drank was remade by someone else but with the same results. I requested can I have another drink made by someone else this is when a lady rudely came up to my table and asked me what was the problem with the drinks. I told her the problem and to her she said nothing was wrong with the drinks and that it would not be taken off my table since I wasnât two drinks and a third would not be made. I told her thatâs fine I will just keep my water but Iâm not paying for the margarita since I wasnât even able to drink any of it, let alone get past the sip of it. She stated that the owner would not take it off my table and I would have to pay, I asked to speak to the owner.
The owner came to my table in an annoyed manner. He didnât want to hear about the situation, he just kept saying that he is losing money by having to toss out two $9 margaritas and if I didnât like it, I shouldnât have ordered it. I told him first of all this is my first time coming here and secondly, it sounds to me that you are more wondered about your costs then customer satisfaction. He kept over talking me and my friend and said I was wrong because I wasted two drinks and it will costs him money. He ended up taking the drinks off my tab because I told him I can see if I drank at least half of it, I wouldnât mind paying but all I did was take a small sip of it.
I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone due to the service received and I will be reporting this restaurant. They have under age servers making and serving alcohol to customers which shouldnât be allowed. I have never eaten at a place where I would have to go back and forth with the owner let alone a supervisor about costs and waste...
Read moreEmpty in the middle of lunch hour, and for an understandable reason.
If you aren't a big fan of boiled bakes and fried food, it's a no go. The outside says "steak and seafood" giving off the impression of a wider menu, however this isn't the case. I didn't see a cut of meat on the entire menu, just seafood and one option for bone in wings. We were given a dinner portion during lunch for some reason, which was large for lunch, however tiny for dinner.
The outside has a cheap feel to it, which is conflicting when you walk inside. It appears to have been recently remodeled, and looks like it was trying to be fancy. The menu and food also have a cheap feel, while the baskets they serve everything in makes it look like their trying to be trendy, making the entire experience feel weird and conflicting. They also had a waitress station that looks like a tiki hut in the middle of the restaurant, making it feel tacky, contrary to the newly remodeled feel they were trying to go for.
The restaurant was pretty empty, so I was able to clearly hear what I think was a manager tell an employee, "The lunch and dinner menu are the same, but the prices are VERY different", which shows as we were inexplicably charged for a dinner meal.
The waitresses were standing around and generally inattentive, standing around most of the time we were there chatting and doing nothing.
Food was OK at best.
Wouldn't go...
Read moreWe should have known this restaurant would be a disappointment. First Friday of Lent, during season, and it's wide open - no one there. For a reason! New ownership has obviously stopped caring about the customer. It wasn't that the food was bad and it wasn't even a problem that the bartender had no idea that a red blend was not a white zinfandel. We politely ignored that the waitress brought us "cheese sticks" instead of our order of bread sticks. We are very forgiving. However, when the bill came and we were charged $13 more for my entree, that's when we had an issue. We asked to speak to the manager after the waitress in charge tried to tell us the new waitress just didn't know that the entree price had changed. They tried to blame this on the brand new employee! Please! This restaurant had altered the menu to reflect updated "market price" entrees. However, they neglected to update the item that I ordered. A 40% increase? My dad was right - the snowclab claws were better than the king crab claws. That being said, they lost a bunch of customers tonight. We live here full time (not typical of the average customer) and we've always made it a point to support local. But the gall of the price gauging on top of the manager refusing to address and then to top it off, the blame of the poor new waitress - pathetic. We will never go to this place again. No wonder it is suffering...
