During my first visit, I thought the fish and scallops were okay and over priced. The cod was the same price point as shrimp clams or scallops —nothing to rave about—but the fried clams were excellent.
However, my second visit may be my last. We walked in at 4:00 PM and it was not busy , to find dirty tables, empty but not cleaned, and food on the floor. The roast beef sandwich was very good, and the clam chowder was excellent. We ordered horseradish and BBQ sauce on side but never received them and had to ask. The onion rings were very salty, and the fries were served without ketchup, which I also had to request. We had to ask for our clam chowder before the sandwich arrived.
The icing on the cake was on my way out we ordered two soft serve ice cream twists, and they were not creamy at all—they tasted more like frozen ice with vanilla and chocolate flavor. I called to share my concerns with the manager, but her reply was that the team thought it tasted correct and she tried to explain what soft serve ice cream should taste like. That was just frozen ice milk , I have had many of soft serve ice cream in my day .
Overall, I feel there is a significant lack of management...
Read moreI was excited to try this place, never having been to the ones in Massachusetts. You order at the counter and they give you a number sign, they bring the food to you. The place was empty at 2pm on a Friday and we waited about 20 minutes. The dining room was a mess, every single table was dirty and the floors too. The Lobster roll is tiny, flavorless and $25.with literally a 1 inch piece of lettuce and 2 microscopic bits of celery. The burgers are good, $5.55 for the daily fast food deals. Latasha is their drive thru and counter back up and she was supremely rude, mixed up other people's orders, charged me $1 extra on the burger for unknowable and unclear reasons. I asked for ketchup and she pointed down the left--I'm supposed to figure out what this means? A tiny corner behind some booths is where they have paper napkins and ketchup in a pump you put into cups. OK, fine, would it have killed her to say "It's right over there". Yes, it would have. People working here have zero communication skills and a very lazy attitude with mumbling responses. Zero friendliness....
Read moreUpdate We decided to go back and order out for dinner. The lady that took my order was super kind and made sure everything was correct especially because I had a large order.
Another employee came out to deliver the bags and made sure to specify which bag was gluten free and if he missed anything to let him know. Very genuine experience tonight.
The food definitely came out better than our first visit. Fries were perfect and the buns were a million times better👍🏻
First time going to Kelly’s, decided to try it out since then new location opened.
The inside is very open and you could see everything in the kitchen. Only thing is the tables were not clean, but I was only there for take out. Big menu with a wide variety also. We ordered the roast beef sandwich and steak and cheese sub with fries. The roast beef tasted great and they give you a good size portion! Not salty and good flavor. I would ask for the fries crispier next time. They also have gluten free rolls which is a huge plus for gluten allergies! Will...
