We came in on a Saturday night. The food was amazing, and our server was fantastic. But OMG super-unreasonable customers!!!
It was very busy, and the staff were visibly busting their butts to serve as quickly as possible. Our food (and what we could see of others' food) came in about 20 minutes, which was quite reasonable (even if it hadn't been as busy).
But a good number of customers were very unreasonable.
Our waitress was practically begging us to forgive her for service being slow (it really wasn't) every time she stopped by the table. We tried to assure her it was fine, and we had no concerns/problems/issues. At one point she called us her favorite customers of the night; it's incredibly sad that just being reasonable and respectful is the bar for "best customers". It really speaks volumes for the other customers.
(I mean, yeah, we're great and all, but we really didn't do anything other than treat her with respect and understanding.)
She and the other staff appeared very beat down by some incredibly mean customers, who apparently have no idea how food service works, and what a reasonable time is for cooking food (especially when they're a large group).
We felt horrible for the staff. They were really doing everything they could to make dinner a great experience for everyone, but some people will never be satisfied (or perhaps are out to create an issue to get a discount).
I got the feeling this wasn't an isolated unusual night, and that there are a good number of people in (or visiting) Boonsboro who have no respect for restaurant workers in general. I'm so sorry you have to put up with this!
To the staff: YOU ARE APPRECIATED. Don't let horrible customers ever make you think otherwise. We were thrilled with the service and the food!
To customers: BE REASONABLE AND RESPECTFUL. The staff has a very difficult job to begin with. If you've worked in food service you know; if you haven't, pay closer attention to what they're doing and you'll see. Especially at this place - they really were putting in the effort and seem to care about the place and making your...
Read moreMy original review is below, this is an update. Yesterday my wifemate and I, and two dear friends who were visiting, went to Jeovani's for lunch. It was our first time eating in. I called a mere 30 minutes before we arrived requesting a reservation for 4, and upon arriving the table was impeccibly prepared, with fresh ice water in the glasses. We all ordered for different foods off the menu. Service was quick and very attentive. The food arrived in a timely manner and it was superb - each of us agreed what we had gotten was excellent. The portions were large and we all left full and very satisfied. We are very pleased that our little town has such a supurb place to dine. 5 stars all the way.
ORIGINAL REVIEW We decided to try Jeovani's Pizzeria, the new pizza place in Boonsboro that replaced the old (and much missed) Vesta Pizzaria. We ordered two different pizzas (a cheese and a barbecue chicken) on Sunday evening, which isn't always the best night to order pizzas at most places. No problem here at all. They took my order over the phone and said it'd be ready for pickup in only 20 minutes. It was. Service at the counter was excellent. The pizza was very good - they have a good sauce with a softer crust and flavorful toppings, exactly how we like our pizza. Very pleased!! Now we are anxious to try their...
Read moreMy husband and I have tried their Stromboli, Calzone, Chesapeake pizza and boneless wings (Maryland style and Slizzin' Garlic) in two different orders. They were super speedy with their delivery both times!! Only a half hour between order and it arriving!
First order- My husband had the Stromboli because he is crazy and doesn't like Ricotta cheese. It was huge! We ordered the small. He got it with 3 meats and he said it was a little greasy but good.
I got a small Calzone with sausage, spinach and tomato and it was yummy. Tomato pieces were a bit big but that isn't a bad thing necessarily, next time I'll just order differently.
Second order- The Chesapeake pizza - I thought it was delicious and hubby said 'meh' To be fair, the toppings were scarce with some pieces of pizza having more "crust" than toppings. One piece had over 4 inches of crust (photo). It might just be an off- make? That being said, they do have good crust, lol.
The boneless wings, my husband enjoyed the sizzlin' garlic. I liked the Maryland style but they were a tad over done (photo).
I didn't think to take photos before we ate but here's a couple to demonstrate what i meant with the criticisms. Just trying to give an honest review without being too harsh. We'll be back and continue to explore...
