Top Of The Park — Restaurant in Boonton

Updated review April 20th 2024. This time our experience was completely different from 2018 (old review below and it doesn't reflect current feelings at all). We were promptly seated upon coming in and had a great experience from then on our! We had ordered the "Joe's" fried calamari appetizer. Wow! Let me tell you it was one of the best, and most tender, pieces of calamari I have ever had! Granted, I am bummed that they don't offer the tentacle legs in with the calamari but the flavor was absolutely delicious!!! Our meals were very tasty and the service was excellent as well! I will definitely be returning for that calamari alone!!!!¡

2018 review: I haven't eaten there in a year and me and a friend were out for a walk last night. We stopped in to grab an Italian sandwich to go and some mozzarella sticks. We get back to my apartment and they forgot to put on any onions, they forgot the oil and vinegar (actually they put droplets of it on). Now we get to the meat. There basically was none!!!!! They put two thin slices of HAM and two thin slices of salami and one slice of provolone. It was the skimpiest sandwich I ever gotten from a restaurant. Subway sandwiches give you more. It was an insulting meal! Needless to say....i don't see any reason to go back for another 3 years...

Driven past this place a million time s and have never stopped until today and was I glad I did. Parking can be a little tricky on Main street in Boonton, but this place will not disapoint. Speaking only on the pizza, this family grew up in Brooklyn, so on that fact alone, they would know Pizza. The people here were really nice and they knew everyone by first name when they kept coming through the door. I was only in and out for a slice, but everything on the menu looked awesome. The slice would be in my top 20 in NJ for sure. Everything about the slice was excellent. Cooked to perfection with that little crunch that you crave. The sauce took me a few bites to kick in, probably because I am so used to eating average pizza. This is Not Average Pizza, the real deal here in Boonton, NJ. A++++ What a beautiful place! This was our first time here and what an experience! The owner was beyond friendly and welcoming! We chatted some about living a happy loving life and how warm his establishment felt. I felt more like his kitchen and home than a pizzeria. I saw they were playing some food and the presentation was spot on! I looked like it was made with LOVE! We place an order to go and we waited the owner gave a taste of his chicken and sausage rolls. WOW the sauce was magnificent! He complimented a soft drink as we waited which was very kind also. What an OVERALL PERFECT experience and we will be sure to drive back 30 minutes just for the hospitably and amazing...
