Latin American Restaurant — Restaurant in Boonton

I tried to order through GrubHub for dinner today. Operative word here is “tried”. I scheduled delivery for 8 PM. A driver showed up with the food two hours early. I told him we ordered for 8 PM, poor guy had to go back. I called the restaurant to see what was going on. The first person I spoke to hung up on me. The guy who finally answered spoke barely any English and seemed very frustrated but basically told me the kitchen doesn’t read tickets thoroughly sometimes, I shouldn’t have ordered if I didn’t want the food right away, and they’re not remaking it for me so tough luck. I’ve never been met with such poor service from a restaurant when the mistake is on their end. I was forced to cancel and figure out new dinner plans last minute. It’s a shame as we were really looking forward to the food that the positive reviews gush over. In the meantime, sounds like management and kitchen staff could use a stern word or...

We are from out of town and we were looking for a family oriented restaurant that had good home cooking. The food was delicious, I had a whole snapper with white rice and tostones (green fried plantains) and my husband had white rice, black beans, salad and steak smothered in onions. Everything was Delicious and I even took my leftovers to the hotel for later. I can't say enough about the treatment we got from Denis the owner and his wife. I don’t usually write reviews, but I have to say—these steak tacos are delicious every time. I’ve been meaning to write something for a while, and after this last order, I had to.

I'm fortunate to work close by. I’ve traveled all over and eaten a lot of tacos, but the steak tacos from Latin America are actually amazing. They also double up the corn tortillas (which are delicious and fresh on their own) and load each one with a hefty pile of super tender steak. Four tacos per order, and they don’t skimp. Well worth the price.
