Our group of 9 to 12 riders stopped here multiple times during the 2015 Katy Trail Ride for lunch, dinner, and drinks (other places we'd planned to eat were closed) and I'm very glad we did. The food is American Pub style, and it tastes fresh and delicious. It's well-prepared and seasoned, and portions are generous for a reasonable price. They have Lunch service was quick and friendly, and the owner stopped to chat and joke with us, and tell us a bit about her place, which we all appreciated. It's a real test of even an established restaurant when 400 hungry cyclists and staffers descend and make things crazy for the staff. Maggie's passed with flying colors, despite having only just opened a couple of weeks earlier! Of course dinner took a little longer for our food to arrive--how could it not?--but the wait was only a few minutes more, not bad at all. Our waitress apologized for the later service, and kept checking on us and keeping our drink orders filled. When our food for a dozen people arrived, one of the salads came without the chicken I'd ordered, and our waitress was apologetic and immediately put the order in. When she came back in short order with the chicken, totally unprompted, she said the owner didn't charge me for the chicken, and apologized again for the wait. I thought that was very fair; mistakes happen, but it's how the staff handles them that really tells you something. Did I mention that was our waitresses first night? Try Maggie's when you're in Boonville, you'll be back. I...

Read moreThis was one of my road trip stops based on other reviews. I ordered the Fire Burger with house made chips. Overall disappointing. The burger was not fire, it wasn’t even medium hot. The burger - bun - toppings ratio was way out of control. The burger was definitely thicker in the middle. The bun was dry and to large for the burger. The saving grace for the burger is there was some good flavor. The worst part of the meal was the homemade house chips. These should be an easy pleaser and item. But they were damp and cool. Less than half had any crispy news to them. And there were just a handful of them. For something that can be made so inexpensively this could be a great draw. But not these, very disappointing. FIRE burger was mis-advertised. This place could be so much better with some...
