Bon Appetit Restaurant — Restaurant in Boston

Oh my goodness!! It was probably because of the ignorance and violence towards Haiti and Haitian Americans as to why I never knew about Bon Appetit when still home. I have so many regrets because Haiti is pure magic and it comes through in the sweetness of the chef's hand at Bon Appetit. I haven't had snapper in years and let me tell you, I sucked this fish's bones dry. I love that they steam it to order! It was perfectly seasoned and beautifully laid in it's own styrofoam container (environmentalism could be employed here by cutting back on the styrofoam 😬) as to not sog the black rice. The black rice, of course, had my toes curling!! As I am not Haitian I don't know how much better it can get, especially in Boston, but my mother and I both left with cheesing. Well, she could have used more vegetable options with her vegan order and a larger portion of the cabbage served, which was perfectly cooked by the way- still crunchy!, I will def be returning when I find my way back cradling the border of Dorchester and Mattapan. Hold the fish tea though, there is way too much oil for my arteries.

I am dissapointed ive bought food hear before and it was good but today I bought 2 plates of food and it was rice and beans and fried pork and plantains well there was plantains missing usually there's 2 and I only got 1 in each plate and the rice was soggy and tasted like it was old rice like rice that was frozen from the day before and heated up and not cook fresh and they give such a little I know because I order from here many times and it's usually cook fresh and the fried pork was tasteless and for some reason this keeps on happening to me when I order here the rice is always room temperature like cool and not hot like that's disgusting I will not be ordering from here again I love to support black business especially Haitians but I pay for quality not garbage I work hard for my money I ended up throwing the food away went to only one Jamaican restaurant down the street mind you I'm Haitian but my favorite Haitian restaurant is not near me Sunrise and Island cuisine in...

OK I took a friend here for her birthday the food is delicious now with every restaurant there are some days when the food might taste a little different maybe they ran out of a certain seasoning or had a replacement cook who knows.... but I can tell you by far as an African American brother who has eaten a lot of Haitian food this place is on point.. And as far as the price just because this restaurant is located in the community does not mean less quality...funny folks go downtown spent $100 for basic food and water down drinks and yet complain about the prices in the community stop it ... supporting our people means paying for quality... lord knows those 8.99 Chinese plates is not helping our health .. i rather pay for quality if you want cheap go to burger king or wendys ..HOWEVER IF YOU WANT QUALITY COME HERE... and my check was not that high compare to other places ...thank you for the staff that worked on friday dec 10th at night... to the owner the...
