ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH THE SERVICE HERE. My friend is a regular customer here. Finally took the time to walk over here. And the chef/cook with the dreads in the big chef hat was SO RUDE! I've never had anyone treat me this way. He was slapping the table, and really short. I asked him to move the oxtail around so I can see it and loudly, he went "PSHHHH!" Shook his head and mumbled under his breath!!!! Never in my life have I ever been treated that way! I asked him, is there a problem? He ignored me. I asked him again, sir is there a problem? He said no! I don't understand why he has such a bad attitude. Why would you treat a customer like that? Is it because I'm not West Indian or black American? Because the customers that were in there seemed like they were being treated JUST FINE. I was so pissed off, I said forget it! I am not eating here! I lost my appetite. Absolutely awful service!! DONT COME HERE!!
By the way, I asked my friend if she knew who that man was and she's had two incidents with the same man. She said that she's actually witnessed him going back and forth with the other staff members. He was VERY rude to my friend and my friend requested that someone else serve her. Why is this man still working here? SO RUDE!! It is so unfortunate. Flames has such good food but it sucks that you have such ignorant people working for you. I will be spreading the word to everyone here in the area as well as reaching out to the...
Read moreWent in today for a Pattie with coco bread and cheese. Woman taking orders seemed unpleased to be serving a woman after flirting with the gentleman ahead of me. Asked for the Pattie and coco bread with cheese. She proceeded to grabbed one Pattie, then handed to it to the chef who was standing at the kitchen window. He took it. They had me standing there for 7 minutes waiting for them to heat it up and add the coco bread with cheese to the Pattie. The chef slapped the brown bag on the window counter like someone slapping a table after dominating a domino game. Then the woman at the cash register (whom was much more pleasant than the one serving the food) went to grab my food only to be told by the woman who was serving the food that the microwave doesnât work. Ummm what? So you had me waiting there, knowing that my food was not being heated only to look me dead in the face and say âyeah the microwave doesnât workâ!
No effort was made to somehow remedy the situation. I live in this community and boy am I tired of trying to support âour peopleâ only to be treated like an outsider. Customer service should always be of high quality and standards but toi many times we donât call âour peopleâ out on their poor behaviors. Flames please level up and do better. We âyour people, your customers, your patronsâ deserve...
Read moreIf you're craving authentic Jamaican cuisine, look no further than Flames Jamaican Restaurant. I find myself ordering takeout here at least three times a week, and it's always a treat! My go-to is the large King Fish with rice and beansâit's absolutely delicious every single time.
For breakfast, I love starting my day with a small bowl of their Jamaican cornmeal porridge. It's the perfect way to kick off the morning. And when I'm in the mood for something spicy, their boiled green banana with callaloo never disappoints.
The quality of food is consistently outstanding, but what truly sets Flames apart is their exceptional staff.
Wayne, in particular, deserves a special shoutout. Despite what might be going on in his personal life, he always greets you with a smile and great service.
Wayneâs hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed, and it makes every visit that much better.
If you havenât yet tried Flames Jamaican Restaurant, do yourself a favor and give them a visitâyou...
