CABANA GRILL MEXICAN RESTAURANT — Restaurant in Boston

I do not like to give bad reviews, but this is one of the worst experiences I've had. We get seated, took about ten minutes for the server to come. That is fine. I order two different drinks neither available because they had ran out of some of the ingredients (mind you it is 8pm on a Saturday night). The next drink they have. In the 30 mins I waited for the drinks, I was kindly asked if we could move to a smaller table to accommodate a larger party. I said sure, why not. Hoping the drinks would come quicker to no available. Drinks were not too good. The food finally arrives. In the taco trio plate the chicken was burned on one side, so was the steak, in addition to being hard. The pupusas seemed they were dipped in oil, they were so greasy. The yuca and chicharron was ok. The server actually came by and said she apologizes for not giving us enough attention. She actually acknowledged it. I had finally had enough and I ask for the bill. When she comes back with the bill to sign, the pen had no ink. I kept trying to get someone's attention. I literally had to get up flare my arms and yell excuse me can I please get a pen that works so I can leave. Mind you this restaurant is not that big. What an...

We started with tostones con tocino y guacamole: The tostones and tocino(more like chicharrones than bacon in my opinion) were both cooked perfectly, and the guac was good. I felt like it was lacking an X-factor, some sort of sauce or added flavor. Don’t get me wrong though they were great.

Next are the pupusas, oh my god I don’t know where to start. I got mine without cheese and it was still absolutely delicious. Even with nothing on them they’re amazing, but with the added coleslaw and sauce they’re godly. I would come back just for those alone.

We got a chicken enchilada which was savory and well seasoned, delicious overall. Then finally the shrimp tacos. In my opinion they were pretty dry. The flavors were good but the shrimp itself was dry and there was a lot of it, the double tortilla wrap didn’t help.

Overall it was a great experience here and I’ll definitely be back for more pupusas and to try...

I decided to take my sister out to dinner for her birthday, and we all absolutely LOVED Cabana! I found this restaurant on tiktok. Every review i saw online matched my experience!! 10/10!! As soon as I first walked in we were instantly greeted, and welcomed. The art and detail of the restaurant is very beautiful. The staff were very attentive and kind! Food was amazing as well as drinks! I would definitely recommend. Cabana is a great place to socialize and have fun! They have great music! If you prefer something lowkey the first floor is more old school and family like! Cabana is great! I am happy my sister loved her birthday dinner! I will definitely return with friends!!
