THIS PLACE WENT FROM BEING ONE OF THE BEST GEMS TO A PLACE THAT FEELS SO UNCOMFORTABLE TO EVEN SET A FOOT IN. I'VE BEEN TO THIS PLACE FOR OVER 10 YEARS, SINCE PANDEMIC HAVE NOT GONE. WE FINALLY WENT, THE MINUTE I WALKED IN THE PERSON AT CASHIER SAID WHEN YOUR READY TO ORDER YOU COME HERE, BLINDED BY IT AS IS A RESTAURANT NOT A FAST FOOD SPOT I LOOKED AT HER AND ASK FOR THE MENU SHE LOOKS AT ME AND POINTS INFRONT OF HER TO GO GET IT MIND YOU, THERE ARE 3 OTHER PEOPLE BEHIND HER WHO WORK THERE.....I LET IT PASS AND TRIED TO GIVE THIS PLACE A SECOND CHANCE COMING BACK THE FOLLOWING WEEK AS THE FOOD ACTUALLY WAS GOOD THE WEEK PRIOR. WELL SERVICE WAS ONLY WORSE THIS TIME AROUND, THE WOMAN AT CASHIER LOOKED BOTHER BY JUST BEEN THERE TAKING OUR ORDER AS THE TIME PRIOR OTHER PEOPLE BEHIND HER WHO ALSO WORKED THERE STANDING JUST THERE. WE GET OUR FOOD REALIZING I GOT CORN TORTILLAS ASKED IF THEY CAN BE SWITCHED TO FLOURONE OF THE EMPLOYEES RESPONSE WELL IF YOU DON'T EAT THEM THERE GOING TO THE TRASH AND I AM LOOKING AT HER LIKE OKAY IS FINE CAN I PAY FOR AN EXTRA ORDER OF TORTILLAS OF FLOUR. THE AMOUNT OF DISPLEASSURE THESE WOMAN HAVE BEING THEIR IS SO UNCOMFORTABLE DON'T SPEND YOUR MONEY WHERE YOU DON'T WANT TO BE SERVED, ASIDE FROM THE FOOD FEELING SO RUSH THIS TIME AROUND AS WE GOT THERE AT 8 THEY CLOSED AT 10PM. Read moreTaqueria Jalisco is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in all of East Boston! I stumbled upon this gem thanks to a friend’s recommendation, and I couldn’t be happier that I listened. While the space is on the smaller side, the food packs a flavor punch that makes a BIG IMPACT.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the incredible aroma of freshly made dishes. The food here truly speaks for itself—each bite bursts with authentic flavors that take you straight to Mexico. Whether you’re craving tacos, enchiladas, or their famous salsas, everything is made with care and quality ingredients.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was not only friendly but also genuinely welcoming. He took the time to chat with me, juggling management tasks and phone calls with impressive multitasking skills. It was heartwarming to see someone so passionate about their restaurant and customers.
He even invited me to check out his new location, and while I’m just now sitting down to write this review, I sincerely hope to visit soon.
Thank you, Taqueria Jalisco, for an amazing dining experience filled with delicious food and warm hospitality. It was truly a pleasure to enjoy a meal in such a welcoming environment. If you’re in the area, don’t miss out on this wonderful spot! You won’t be...

Taco bout a great find!
I came to Taqueria Jalisco on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Eastie and boy am I glad I did. I just got back from a week-long trip to Mexico and I have to say...these tacos were better than any tacos I had in Mexico.

Then you have the option of one of their three multi-colored salsa (green, brown, yellow) with varying degrees of spiciness to add to your tacos (none were too spicy for me but those who don't like spice should stick to the green). The rice and beans that came with it were also great.
I also had a pork tamale which was a good tamale but I think the tacos were still my favorite.
The place is tiny so you may have to wait a bit for a table (we waited 5 minutes only) and the service is great (the servers are so nice!). You can easily get FULL for under $20 which is great too.
I will...
