We got a cake from Nancy Party for the first time to do a private gender reveal for our first baby. We had my sister in law order the cake for us so it would be a surprise for us.

We went to collect the cake and as we were looking at the cake for the first time we immediately saw two bright pink dots on the top of the cake. We tried to brush it off and thought it might be part of the design, although we specifically asked for an all white cake with the inside to be pink or blue… When we took the cake home and got it set up to do our private gender reveal, we noticed a third pink dot on the side of the cake.. When we cut into the cake it was pink, we were obviously happy however the surprise was completely ruined as there were 3 obvious mistakes on the cake that gave away the gender.

I contacted Nancy Party the following day expressing my upset, appreciating it was a beautiful cake and tasted delicious, however ultimately our surprise gender reveal was immediately ruined due to their lack of quality control and checking the cake before saying it was ready to collect. We paid $95 for this professional cake. When I shared the feedback and the photos of the errors, all they said was ‘sorry’ and that it was pink glitter…

I expressed that I did not feel the cake should be $95 when the error was their fault and they ruined our gender reveal surprise due to lack of quality control (the two pink dots on the top are immediately noticeable when you read the text on the top of the cake) They replied with that they don’t do refunds.

I said I did not expect a full refund but some compensation for acknowledgement of ruining our surprise due to their errors and they doubled down saying they don’t do refunds.

Therefore, I would NOT recommend getting a gender reveal cake from Nancy Party, they seem to do beautiful cakes for birthdays and special occasions, but the lack of quality control and accountability for their mistakes, and to not offer any compensation when we paid for a professional service/cake for it to be ruined, I would not wish anyone else to go through the same...

My Baby Girl turned the Big 1 on Halloween. 🙏🏼 on October 23rd my Sister called Nancy Party to place an order... a cute ghost cake for my Girlie's Party on Nov 2nd. I was told to send a deposit to secure my order. I tried sending the payment through Zelle and it was not working.. so i offered to go to the store that day, unfortunately i was not able to make it but the very next day October 24th i contacted her on her personal number and told her who i was and the reason for contacting her. Nancy told me to send it to her email, it finally worked that way. I confirmed her name and sent her the $20 deposit. I seen on the messages that she had read my text and that was that. She didn't reply at all after that. So here i am all these days passing by i asked my Sis you think Nancy confirmed my order becase she never replied.. Sis said "yes she just reads it you should be good" .. now its November 2nd. 4pm, i call the store to see if the cake is ready for pick up .. i give my name and there was no cake under my name i instantly knew something was coming. I was asked the design and the secretary told me to hold... i hear Nancy in the back saying "she said her friend was stopping by the store to leave the money and never did" completely forgetting that we spoke directly through message a day after. Super long story short. Secretary said Nancy did not make the cake. I said "thats crazy she never confirmed that she received my deposit she just read the message" Nancy didn't even have the decency to get on the phone and apologize or offer me another cake to buy in store ...nothing. I had to rush to Gondres Bakery to find a cake, and thankfully i found something because they never disappoint . I truly would not recommend this lady. My sister in Law always buys from her and my Sister have bought from her and i was giving it a try but never again. I would've had no cake for my Daughter or the guest due to her being irresponsible . How do you receive deposits and not check what they are for? I asked for my deposit because they messed up not me and the good thing is it was sent...

My sister bought a cake from here and when she went to pick it up, they told her it was not ready it was for the following day that she ordered it. She had the receipt stating that it was for that day and they made a mistake. they told her to give them 20 minutes and they would have a cake. It was a cake that looks like she could’ve went to market basket paid for that and went to party city for the decal and did it herself. Instead they charged her $120 for this cake when I proceeded to Call them because my sister was so upset. They hung up the phone on me so I went down to the store in person and when I explain to them what the problem was and because she’s a return customer that refers people to them all the time they should either refund the money or give her a free cake in the future apologize for the mistake so that they could keep a customer.
