A huge heartfelt thank you to all the employees of the Popeyes of Roxbury Martín Luther King location. Today I had a bad day due to my unresolved situations on the phone, all my chores, the chaotic traffic on the street, the heat, however I try to have a smile... Then I went to the Tropical food supermarket where a spoiled cashier treated me very wrong, he yelled at me and the manager ignored it and agreed to continue such humiliation in front of everyone. When I called him back without doing any type of investigation and not having knowledge of what happened, the sinico... shameless and racist against Puerto Ricans constantly told me that I WAS NOT RIGHT when the astonished employees and witnesses... went to give me support and reason. It is when after having a heavy day, and with such a bad time... I go to POPEYES. There her employee and cashier treated me in a good way, sympathy, patience and the place being full...she went the extra mile she was moved to see my health situation since my abdomen was looking strange, because I suffer from a condition that makes it look different, and it's right or wrong, he treated me with great respect and courtesy. It should be noted that my academic level of studies is Law, Management and also. I worked as a young cashier, so I know how to treat the client with respect and professionalism. Popeyes exceeded my expectations again and continues to do so. I always see your manager in good spirits, friendly, positive. and I see good people in him and his employees. Some angels of God who put in my way at the right time not only to mitigate hunger but to show that all races must be in harmony and with respect we make a difference. Thank you Popeyes, thank you employees, you went the extra mile and put a ray of sunshine in my life. Thank you thousand. I congratulate you. Thanks for making me smile. And give hope in...
Read moreThis Popeyes location is a complete embarrassment and should honestly be shut down. I placed a mobile order and walked into an absolute mess zero organization, zero leadership, and a staff that clearly doesn’t care.
The short Hispanic woman at the counter was unbelievably rude and flat-out ignored me. She was helping people who walked in after me, rushing to get their food out — but when I tried to show her my order, she immediately dismissed me and told me to wait in the mobile pickup section. No explanation. No help. Just total attitude.
I waited over 30 minutes for a simple 5-piece chicken tender meal and fries. That’s not a delay — that’s intentional disrespect. And here's the kicker: my food was ready and sitting on the rack the entire time. She just didn’t bother to check or call it out. Another customer had to step in and point it out to me. That’s how useless the staff was — they couldn’t even be bothered to hand someone their already-prepared food.
I even tried to cancel my order through the Popeyes app once I realized how bad things were. Guess what? The app doesn’t even give you that option. No way to back out. So I was forced to stand there and waste over half an hour of my day waiting for “fast” food — because of a broken system and an even worse staff.
This location clearly plays favorites, treats certain customers like VIPs, and ignores everyone else. It’s not just bad service — it’s toxic. If management gives a damn, they need to clean house immediately. If not, shut this place down.
I’ll never be back, and I’ll go out of my way to make sure nobody I know goes either. Shameful.
And I dont even waste my time with reviews like that but people need to be warned how bad...
Read moreDear Popeyes senior leadership,
Bad service at a business often starts from the top and trickles down to its employees. This seems to be the case at the Popeyes in Roxbury. My experience there showed a clear lack of professionalism and poor customer service, from the store management to the employees. The manager in my review was in charge the evening of my experience. The issues were numerous and frustrating:
Loud music blared from the kitchen, creating a chaotic environment. The food was overcooked and dry. Three employees sat around, seemingly unconcerned with helping customers. As my food was ready, no one was at the counter to help customers. My requests for service were met with a negative response.
The manager's behavior was particularly shocking. When I finally saw him, he was just grabbing a cup to get a drink from the soda fountain. When I asked if anyone was working to help us, he simply said "NO" and disappeared into the back.
This experience makes me wonder how often senior leadership reviews what's happening at the front counter. This incident has motivated me to research starting my own chicken franchise to provide a better option for the community. This community deserves a business with a professional team that delivers great customer...
